As-Salaam alaikum,
In this universal religion of Islam, to which we subscribe, did you know that....

(1) Sin forms a layer on the heart like rust does on steel, but does not
penetrate like the evil and selfish desires that seep in and transform
the nafs. Rust only requires a superficial application of rust remover
for the steel to sparkle again, and likewise the heart needs the constant
application of Zikr (remembrance of Allah) and repentance to keep it
sparkling. The nafs is more stubborn and in the majority of cases needs
strong tazkia (purification) to root out evil desires.

(2) Whenever we/you commit sin, it is fard...incumbent that we repent..make
Tawba, that is beg Allah Ta'ala for forgiveness. He is All-Merciful, it is
expected that He will forgive us our sins. But in repenting, we should repent
with our heart, with the tongue, and with the sinful limb altogether... ie
the heart should earnestly repent; the tongue should pray and beg; while
the limb should cease from sinning.

(3) That we should always be scrupulous in all our affairs. Righteousness in
Islam depends on being scrupulous, as Imam Hasan al-Basri, may Allah be
Merciful to him, said: "Ascend to Allah by means of your himma since what
was going to happen has happened and what is decreed will certainly come
about. By Allah, turning to creation is hidden shirk.
The Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said: "If someone devotes himself
to Allah, Allah will spare him every burden and provide for him from where
he does not reckon." Prefer Allah to all things since things are by their nature
transitory and vanishing. The Holy Qur'an declares: "All things are passing
except His Face."(27:88)

Give this some thought and action, and you will see wonders!!
Best Wishes.
