Default Islam forbids False Accusations against Animals

Islam forbids False Accusations against Animals

    Shaykh Uthaymeen said:

This Kaba is the house of Allah, built by Ibrahim and his son Ismael. They raised the pillars of this house while saying:

"Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower."
    (Soorah Al-Baqarah 2:127)

Abraha wanted to invade this house from the direction of Yemen so he prepared an army led by huge elephants. He wanted to destroy the Kaba, the house of Allah. When the army arrived close to the Kaba at a place called Al Mughmas the elephants became stubborn and refused to proceed forward, thus they scolded them in an effort to make them proceed towards the Kaba, but they refused. And when they faced the direction of Yemen the elephants began to walk at a fast hurried pace.

When the Messenger of Allah was at the battle of Hudaybiyyah and his she-camel (named al-Qaswa) became stubborn and refused to move; the companions said: “al-Qaswa has become jaded, al-Qaswa has become jaded”. Meaning she became stubborn, and kneeled down without reason.

The Messenger of Allah replied: “I swear by Allah, al-Qaswa has not become jaded and that is not from her character; rather she was prevented from moving by the One who prevented the elephants from moving.” And this is the Lord (Allah) the Glorified and Exalted. (Sunan Abi Dawud 2765)

The Prophet defended an animal, because injustice is not appropriate even if the injustice is against an animal.

to say something about someone that is not true is a false accusation. That is what the others were doing and the Prophet (S) defended the camel against those accusations.
