35 Disney Employees Arrested On Child Sex Charges In Less Than 10 Years

At least 35 Disney employees in and around Florida have been arrested and accused of sex crimes involving children since 2006, CNN reports as part of a six-month investigation. So far, 32 of those cases have resulted in convictions. "Wherever you find children, you'll find sexual predators that want to be there," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. The report reveals an urgent problem plaguing our theme parks.

One of the men whose case is still pending is 49-year-old Robert Kingsolver of Orlando. Kingsolver worked as a ride repair manager at Magic Kingdom until he was accused of attempting to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex in Lake County. His arrest was one of 22 in a February sting operation conducted by the Lake County Sheriff's Cyber Crime Unit, according to WESH." My life is ruined," Kingsolver told CNN at his home, where he's on house arrest. "My family's life is ruined. My kids' life is ruined. I've devastated my parents because of bad judgment. "Kingsolver, who pleaded not guilty, is just one of dozens of Disney and Universal Studios employees charged in stings recorded in the investigation.

Other employees arrested over possession of child pornography or arranging to meet minors for sex include security guards, a costumer, a tour guide, a gift shop employee and maintenance workers. During that same sting in February, 32-year-old Patrick Holgerson -- then a character actor with Disney -- was accused of sending nude photos to someone he thought was a 13-year-old boy. When he arrived to meet the boy, he was greeted by police, CNN reports. Holgerson also faces charges for failing to disclose his HIV status to a sexual partner. Tyler Edge, another Disney employee, allegedly brought a knife and condoms to the sting operation. Joel Torres, 32, who listed his employer as Walt Disney World, allegedly brought condoms to a home where he thought he was meeting a 14-year-old.

Earlier this month, a sting in Central Florida led to 16 arrests, including a Universal Studios employee and two Disney workers, 26-year-old Zachary Spencer and Allen Treaster, 40.READ THE FULL REPORT AT CNN Disney maintains that it has "extensive measures in place" to thwart child predators before they're employed, including background checks and computer monitoring. The Disney theme park in Florida has about 70,000 employees." The numbers reported by CNN represent one one-hundredth of 1 percent of the 300,000 people we have employed during this time period," spokeswoman Jacquee Wahler said. "We continue to work closely with law enforcement and organizations, like the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as we constantly strengthen our efforts." Still, the charges are widespread and egregious.

    CNN reports:

    Previous arrests include:

    • Cedric Cuthbert, the night shift custodial manager at Disney's Port Orleans resort, who was downloading child porn last year on his work computer while writing a sermon for his church, where he was the pastor, according to police. Cuthbert pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to six years in prison.
    • Paul Fazio, who worked in an Animal Kingdom Lodge gift shop. Fazio was convicted of downloading videos showing "multiple scenes of nude prepubescent children engaging in sexual activity with adults and other children," the police report said.
    • William Marrero-Maldonado, who worked for Disney security. He was arrested in April after an Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigation claimed that he was downloading child porn videos. He has pleaded not guilty.

Since CNN's investigation, U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (R-Florida) has proposed legislation that would add an exemption to the Polygraph Act of 1988, which makes it illegal for many private companies to polygraph employees. Ross wants companies that provide for children to further screen new employees.

"Wherever you find children, you'll find sexual predators that want to be there."

Parents, what other warning do you need? Don't stop going places. You can still take the kids to Chuck E Cheese and the park, but NEVER stop watching and NEVER let a stranger take over your parenting duties. Sexual predators go where their prey is - child theme play places, parks, swimming pools, day camps and away camps. They will be counselors, teachers, servers, and costumed clowns, parents of other children. It is sad to say, but you must be eternally vigilant.

PEDOPHILE RINGS – POLITICIANS, JUDGES, DIRECTORS…

“We met the high and the mighty. Judges, QC’s, directors and a host of other well paid participants.”

    International Worker No 241, 8 November 8, 1997:

Tony Hyland wrote an article entitled: ‘State cover-up of high level paedophile ring.’

Care workers … acted as go-betweens for a paedophile ring that extends into the topmost layers of society.

Policemen, church ministers, local authority executives, senior businessmen and politicians, including someone believed to be a leading supporter of Margaret Thatcher, have been identified.

“The present Public Tribunal into the case…… measures have been taken to prevent the proceedings from being covered fully in the national media.

“In the event the press has been virtually absent from the proceedings.

There would have been no significant national coverage of this major scandal, if not for the work of a single journalist, Nick Davies of The Guardian…

“Waterhouse has also indicated that the final report will not find the “public figure” culpable of any crimes, even though he has been identified by six victims.

“He stated that whilst a number of the abusers will be named, those of the two policemen will be omitted, even though one of them has already been convicted of sexual offences against children…

“39 children’s homes in North Wales have been implicated. Nearly 300 people have given evidence as victims of abuse. Some 148 individuals have been identified as abusers

    Key aspects:

“John Allen, a convicted paedophile, ran a complex of homes in London and North Wales that supplied children to wealthy outsiders. Allen is currently serving a six year sentence.

“At the Bryn Alyn home, two senior officials have already been convicted of systematic sexual abuse of children in their care.

“Another, Paul Wilson, was convicted of violent attacks on children but given a suspended sentence. He was accused of physical assault on 66 occasions by 66 different boys.

Police smash ‘biggest’ online pedophile ring

    March 16, 2011

THE HAGUE (AFP) – Police in several countries have arrested scores of alleged members of an online pedophile ring and rescued 230 children in “the biggest case of its kind”, Europol said.

A third of the arrests in the round-up which began three years ago were made in Britain, the policing agency said.

Six-hundred-and-seventy suspects have been identified, 184 arrests have already been made and 230 children, the victims of these terrible crimes, have been identified and rescued from further harm,” director Rob Wainwright told journalists.

“We expect these numbers to rise further,” he said, adding: “This is already the biggest case of its kind we have ever seen.”

The Europol operation targeted an online network that used a server based in the Netherlands and had almost 70,000 members worldwide at its height, officials said. A total 121 of the arrests were made in Britain.

Europol said the probe, dubbed Operation Rescue, started three years ago. The server involved had since been taken down and its operator appeared in a Dutch court on Tuesday.

The suspects were members of an online forum called boylover.net that promoted sex between adults and young boys, the policing agency said.

“The website attempted to operate as a discussion-only forum where people could share their sexual interest in young boys without committing any specific offences and operate below the radar,” Peter Davies of Britain’s Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre told the press conference.

“Many members, however, having made contact on the site, moved on to more private channels such as e-mail to exchange and share illegal images and films of children being abused.”

According to a Europol statement, computers seized from those arrested have yielded “huge quantities of child abuse images and videos”.

Wainwright said this was “one of the most successful international police operations in recent years in what is probably the largest online paedophile network in the world.”

The oldest of the suspects arrested over the past three years was 84. The group included at least one woman.

One suspect, arrested in Spain, worked with children at summer camps and is believed to have abused more than 100 in five years.

Most of the suspects abused children “in their closest environment, in their families or friends or neighbourhood,” said Cesar Lorenzana of Spain’s Guardia Civil.

According to Davies, the suspects did not share a specific profile.

“There is no particular rule about the age, there is no particular rule about the walk of life they are in. There is no particular profile of someone who is a threat to children in this way,” he said.

Wainwright said investigators had a breakthrough when Europol experts cracked the Dutch-based server’s sophisticated security features in 2010 to uncover “this huge network”.

Europol then issued more than 4,200 intelligence reports about the activities of the network to more than 30 countries, mostly in Europe, enabling them to track down offenders and their victims.

“Our work continues and we will not rest until all of the offenders have been identified,” said Wainwright, adding the number of victims was also expected to rise “maybe even significantly”.

Countries involved in the probe have included Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Greece, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the United States.

National prostitution and trafficking ring 'smashed' by police

    26 September 2014

A national prostitution ring in which women are believed to have been trafficked to the UK and forced to work in brothels has been smashed, police have said.

Fifteen people were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to manage and control brothels after raids on homes in the Midlands and south of England on Tuesday and Thursday.

All have been released on police bail.

Det Ch Insp Ally Wright said it was a "sophisticated and organised" set-up.

The Warwickshire Police officer said the ring was discovered after a property in Nuneaton was investigated.
"Females were, for want of a better way of phrasing it, being rotated on a weekly basis.

"So this raised the prospect that human trafficking or sexual exploitation were the root cause and this led us to other addresses through the country," he said.

Two homes in Nottingham were raided, two in Warwickshire, and one each in Reading, Slough, Wolverhampton, Torquay and Finchley, in London.

The women suspected of being made to work as prostitutes are believed to be Chinese and Malaysian, a Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said.

    'Threats and violence'

The British Red Cross was involved in advising on the raids and remains on standby to provide support, temporary housing and aid to victims.

A spokeswoman said no such assistance had been requested as yet.

Det Ch Insp Wright said the perpetrators abused vulnerable women "to make substantial profits".

"They [the victims] come to this country and go through a process of indoctrination, subject to coercion, some intimidation, some threats and violence.

"By the time they are put out to work, effectively under the control of organised criminals, they are so fearful it's difficult for them to come forward and present themselves as being victims," he said.

Phones, cash and banking details recovered by police during the raids are now being examined as part of the investigation.

    A ‘big political cover-up’ of 1980s pedophile-ring in U.K. Parliament?

    July 7, 2014

For nearly two decades, the man known as “Big Cyril” waddled about the United Kingdom’s parliament, all bombast and waggling fingers. Rumored to be the heaviest member of parliament in British history — weighing over 400 pounds — he would spread his considerable girth across the bench of the House of Commons, grinning in good times, glowering in bad.

Most everyone remembers Cyril Smith. The member of Parliament had a personal touch. He sang. He went on pal Jimmy Savile’s BBC show.

He also, according to hundreds of allegations since his 2010 death, was a pedophile of historic proportions.

That fact was one of many in a dossier prepared 30 years ago by a crusading member of Parliament who warned of a powerful pedophile ring of “big, big names.” At the time, the man told his family the allegations were “explosive,” according to the BBC. It would, he told his son, “blow the lid off” of the pedophile ring and perhaps take down powerful, famous sex abusers who had infiltrated the highest reaches of British life.

Despite the purported power of the allegations, they weren’t aggressively pursued and no arrests or prosecutions followed. “My father [Geoffrey Dickens] thought that the dossier at the time was the most powerful thing that had ever been produced, with the names that were involved and the power that they had,” son Barry told the BBC late last week after it emerged that the document has since gone missing. “It just seems so suspicious that something so important could just go missing.”

Over the weekend, as its disappearance ballooned into a national scandal, the Guardian reported it may be worse than that. An additional 114 documents relevant to allegations involving the ring are also missing — a revelation sparking suspicion that Margaret Thatcher’s government orchestrated a cover-up of child abuse by politicians.

Norman Tebbit, a former cabinet minister who served under Thatcher, told the BBC on Sunday the inclination at the time may have been to protect “the system” rather than delving “too far” into the claims. Asked if there had been a “big political cover-up,” Tebbit conceded “there may well have been. But it was almost unconscious. It was the thing that people did at that time. You didn’t talk about those sorts of things. It is not the sort of thing that people did.”

That explanation has often emerged in recent weeks as Britain has lurched from one sex abuse scandal among its elite to another. Last week, disgraced painter and entertainer Rolf Harris was sentenced to six years in prison for the “indecent assault” of four girls, one of whom was seven or eight. As is often the case in allegations of abuse, the publicity spurred additional claims, and BBC broadcaster Vanessa Feltz on Sunday said Harris “sexually assaulted me while I interviewed him on live TV.”

But most discussions of sex abuse and pedophilia in Britain loop back to Jimmy Savile — the BBC star accused of necrophilia and abusing 500 children — and these do as well.

One year after Savile’s 2010 death, horrifying allegations of abuse emerged that have “shaken our country to the core,” U.K. Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said. The allegations led to investigation upon investigation as British authorities tried to determine whether others like Savile manipulated their celebrity to intimidate victims into silence.

Indeed, there were. One was Harris who, his trial court said, was a “sinister pervert who had a demon lurking beneath the charming exterior.”

Others allegedly belonged to the political class — men who reportedly attended a brownstone Edwardian house in southwest London formerly called the Elm Guest House. “It is just over Hammersmith bridge,” as a 1982 newsletter by the Conservative Group for Homosexual Equality said, according to the Guardian. “The facilities include a sauna, solarium and video studio.” That year, its owners were convicted of running a brothel, which Smith is reported to have patronized frequently.

Now apartments, the structure is nonetheless “at the heart of a simmering scandal threatening to boil over and take with it the reputations of a swath of the political class of the 1970s and 1980s,” the Guardian said. Some of what happened there — and who, perhaps, was in attendance — is thought to be detailed in the missing documents, which reportedly implicate more than 10 former and current politicians.

After news of the documents’ disappearance broke, Prime Minister David Cameron ordered officials to find out what happened. “It’s right that these investigations are made,” Cameron said. “We mustn’t do anything, of course, that could prejudice or prevent proper action by the police. If anyone has information about criminal wrong-doing they should, of course, give it to the police.”

UK: Failures in Rotherham led to sexual abuse of 1,400 children

Report says failings in political and police leadership contributed to gang rape and trafficking in South Yorkshire

    August 2014

Blatant failures of political and police leadership contributed to the sexual exploitation of 1,400 children in Rotherham over a 16-year period, according to an uncompromising report published in the aftermath of allegations of gang rape and trafficking in the South Yorkshire town.

Written by Prof Alexis Jay, a former chief inspector of social work, the investigation concluded that the council knew as far back as 2005 of sexual exploitation being committed on a wide scale by [allegedly] mostly Asian men, yet failed to act.

This is the fourth report clearly identifying the problem of child sexual exploitation (CSE) in Rotherham. The first, commissioned by the Home Office back in 2002, contained "severe criticisms" of the police and local council for their indifference to what was happening under their noses. But instead of tackling the issue, senior police and council officers claimed the data in the report had been "fabricated or exaggerated", and subjected the report's author to "personal hostility," leading to "suspicions of collusion and cover up", said Jay.

Council and other officials sometimes thought youth workers were exaggerating the exploitation problem. Sometimes they were afraid of being accused of racism if they talked openly about the perpetrators in the town mostly being Pakistani taxi drivers.

On a number of occasions, victims of sexual abuse were criminalised – arrested for being drunk – while their abusers continued to act with impunity. Vital evidence was ignored, Jay said, with police apparently trying to manipulate their figures for child sexual exploitation by removing from their monitoring process girls who were pregnant or had given birth, plus all looked after children in care.

Jay concluded that from 1997-2013, Rotherham's most vulnerable girls, some as young as 11, were raped by large numbers of men. Others were trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten, and intimidated, with some children doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight if they told anyone what had happened.

No case involving Rotherham men came to court until November 2010 when five "sexual predators" were convicted of grooming three girls, two aged 13 and one 15, all under children's social care supervision, before using them for sex. In the past 12 months, 15 people have been prosecuted or charged with child sexual exploitation offences in Rotherham.

The victims were offered gifts, rides in cars, cigarettes, alcohol and cannabis. Sex took place in cars, bushes and the play areas of parks.

In summer 2013 Vaz's select committee published its own report, which criticised the council and the police in Rotherham, particularly for the lack of prosecutions over a number of years. That report was prompted in part by an investigation by the Times reporter Andrew Norfolk, which alleged that Rotherham police and council had deliberately covered up CSE.

Following the publication of Jay's report on Tuesday calls also came for the head of Shaun Wright, who became the police and crime commissioner for South Yorkshire two years ago following a five-year spell in charge of children and youth services on Rotherham borough council.

Though he is not criticised by name in the report, he was responsible for child protection during a period in which Jay said police and council were well aware that there was a serious problem with child exploitation in Rotherham and yet failed to act.

    Comments:

This news and other news outlets are blaming the Pakistani community as the 'majority' behind this pedo ring. There are two problems with this bias, prejudice and propaganda blaming of a community. First, the asian men were of Pakistani origin but they were westernized, Britanized and products of the Britian's society. Second, the majority of the men in this case as they are in all other cases are white male.

    -------------------------------------------

MP: Most child abusers are white males

A South Yorkshire MP says that although an inquiry into child abuse found that many victims identified their attackers as Asian, most abusers nationwide are white males.

The inquiry found child abuse on a "shocking scale" in Rotherham. The council leader has already stepped down and there are calls for South Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner to resign.

Sarah Champion MP says focusing on one aspect of abuse is the wrong approach:

    FAQs on “Asian Grooming Gangs”

    AUGUST 27, 2014

These FAQs were originally designed to be given to Imams and community leaders to help them adequately respond to the intensive media focus on the Muslim/Pakistani community during the Rochdale grooming case a few years ago.

At the time and subsequent to it there have been claims that there are specific cultural problems that precipitate Muslim/Pakistani men to undertake such heinous crimes against women and children. Various politicians, journalists and right wing groups have claimed that Muslim attitudes were being informed by Islam that supposedly denigrated women and non Muslims such that it justified the objectification and thus abuse of non Muslim women and girls.

With the recent study in Rotherham that has uncovered abuse against 1400 children by various gangs most of whom are meant to be of Asian/Pakistani origin, similar accusations are being leveled against Muslims and the supposed links to Islam.

We therefore reproduce the FAQs to help the Muslim community to understand and respond to any accusations that claims Islam and not liberal secular values mixed with un-Islamic Asian culture is the cause of such criminal and disgusting behavior.

    Q. If there is not a problem in the Muslim/Pakistani community, why were all the men arrested of that origin?

There are many cases of sexual abuse of women and girls perpetrated by men from various backgrounds and not simply just one community. For instance there have been a spate of arrests and convictions of celebrities since the Jimmy Saville scandal claim to light. Hundreds if not thousands of girls and boys have been abused by celebrities with some reports claiming Saville on his own abused over 1300 adults and children.

However with the media and politicians focusing on the race element of this crime, it is easy or rather it is deliberate, to lose the fact that there is a broad narrative of abuse in Britain which is not unique to one community and in this case the Muslim/Pakistani community.

According to the NSPCC nearly a quarter (24.1%) of young adults experienced sexual abuse (including contact and non-contact), by an adult or by a peer during childhood. Of the 17,000 reported cases of sexual offences involving children under 16 just 4,000 went to trial last year, according to the CPS. That’s just under a quarter of all reported cases. And according to NSPCC research, a third (34%) of children who are sexually abused do not tell anyone at all about it, let alone report it to the police. Thus many crimes against young adults and children go unreported or fail to reach trial. The huge numbers of cases further underlines the point that sexual abuse of children and young adults is an endemic problem within British society and not simply isolated to one community.

Marai Larasi, a director of Imkaan and co-chair of the End Violence Against Women Coalition, warns: “An excessive focus on some cases of sexual exploitation with a primary focus on ethnicity rather than the exploitation itself is misleading and fuels racist attitudes which ultimately won’t help women and girls.”

Nazir Afzal, the newly appointed chief crown prosecutor for the North West, who was responsible for bringing the perpetrators to trial, told the Guardian: “It wasn’t their race which defined them, it was their treatment of women.” Before adding:, “There is no community where women and girls are not vulnerable to sexual attack and that’s a fact.”

This is a wider issue than race, religion or culture. This is a discussion of ‘Broken Britain’. It’s a discussion of what is going wrong in this society and why are vulnerable women exploited and even have a fear of reporting crimes against them to the authorities. Before the media and governments ministers question the Muslim community of the actions of a small minority, it needs to ask the question of the society which we all live in today.

    Q. Is there a problem within the Muslim/Pakistani community?

The problem that exists isn’t limited to some Pakistanis or Muslims rather it already exists within the wider society. Therefore we do not deny that some depraved people have conducted these acts who may have come from a particular community. Nor do we say that we do not need to help to inoculate our communities from depraved behaviour. However such acts are not as a result of Islam nor intrinsic to one community. Therefore we need to identify the clear cause behind the problem in order to help address the issue.

    Q. Why did these Muslim/Pakistani men carry out such acts?

The fact of the matter is that what caused these Muslims to behave in such a manner is actually the abandonment of Islamic values. Alcohol, drugs, fornication, prostitution and rape are all forbidden in Islam and carry severe punishments under an Islamic authority. So indeed these acts could never be legitimized nor encouraged by Islam.

Instead what they did was to adopt some of the values of the secular British society such as individualism and self gratification as a means to happiness, with some cultural attitudes that exist across Asian cultures. Either aspects are not part of the Islamic culture, teachings or attitudes. Rather it is the total abandonment of Islam and the self gratification of deviant desires that led to such depraved behavior.

Even the UK Good Childhood Inquiry concluded that abuses against children were the results of beliefs of ‘excessive individualism’ and ‘that the prime duty of the individual is to make the most of their own life.’

Abu Mas’ud ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amr al-Ansari al-Badri (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (saw) said “Among the things that people have found from the words of the previous prophets was: ‘If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.” [Al-Bukhari]

However, the keen observer will know in reality that everyone who had an axe to grind against Asians, Pakistanis or Muslims came out of the woodwork to racialise and generalise this heinous crime to entire communities, attributing it to their beliefs and cultures, and citing the case as definitive proof to justify their grievances against the community.

    Q. Does Islam view women as ‘second class citizens’ and does it encourage crimes against women?

Women in Islam are not regarded as inferior or second-class citizens . Indeed, Islam has a rich heritage in enhancing her quality of life. Islam gave women the right to her own wealth, property rights, rights in marriage and divorce as well as an active and central role in society. Islam punishes the criminal who slanders the honour of women with mere words, and the one who grooms and uses women for his own desires has strayed severely and deserves no sympathy but punishment.

Islam addresses men and women as human beings, not commodities. They have the same worth before Allah (swt) and both are encouraged to do good and stay away from evil. “Whoever commits a sin is requited for just that, and whoever works righteousness -male or female -while believing, these will enter Paradise wherein they receive provisions without any limits.” [TMQ Ghafir 40:40]

The Prophet (saw) told the people that Paradise lies under the feet of the mother, not the father and that the man who raises two daughters in piety enters Paradise, something which He (saw) did not say for a man who raised two sons.

    Q. Does Islam think non Muslims are “trash”?

Islam mandates that all humans must be treated with respect and justice “Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is well acquainted with what you do” [TMQ Al Maida 5:8]

Furthermore we know of Prophet Muhammad’s (saw) example in which he would treat his non Muslim neighbours with respect and kindness and would visit them when they were ill. The classic Islamic scholar Al Qarafi when explaining the meaning of “dealing kindly” towards non muslims in the verse of Quran 60:8-9 stated, ‘…gentleness towards the weak, providing clothing to cover them, and soft speech. This must be done with affection and mercy, not by intimidation or degradation.‘ Al-Qarafi, ‘al-Furooq,’ vol 3, p. 15

The narrative used by some newspapers to explain that somehow Islam considers non Muslims as “trash” and that this was part of the causal factor leading to abuse is utter nonsense and underlines the prejudicial nature of the reportage of the grooming cases.

    Q. Whats so wrong with Western society and its approach towards the respect of women?

There are no lessons to be learnt from this society. The Independent on the 25th May 2012 reported that, “Nearly half of young women in London were sexually harassed in public last year, with many forced to endure unwanted male attention on buses and trains, a new study shows.”

It is well versed and has practised sexual exploitation of women’s bodies in the beauty, entertainment and sex industries, devaluing and dehumanizing them into objects for male gratification. This has generated an environment conducive for sexual abuse. In the UK there are thousands of brothels and reports of up to 18,000 sex workers. And it is no surprise then that according to the Department of Health website, a woman is raped every 10 minutes in the UK due to the objectification of women within British society mixed with liberal secular values.

    Q. Is there a problem with oversexualisation of British society?

Yes. According to an official home office report into childrens exposure to sexual imagery, author Dr Linda Papadopoulos said there was a clear link between sexualised imagery and violence towards females. She further mentioned, “Both the images we consume and the way we consume them are lending credence to the idea that women are there to be used and that men are there to use them.” This effect according to her distorts young girls views about themselves, “Unless sexualisation is accepted as harmful, we will miss an important opportunity… to broaden young people’s beliefs about where their values lies,”

Frank Furedi, professor of sociology at Kent University, said society as a whole and adults were to blame. He said: “The whole of society is hypersexualised – sex becomes the common currency through which adults make their way in the world and continually send a signal to children that sex is all that matters. One of the big problems that we are faced with is that increasingly adults have lost the capacity to draw a line between their own attitudes and those of children and increasingly we’re recycling adult attitudes about sex through the prism of children.”

Quite clearly then there are deep problems within British society with the early sexualisation of children that distorts their views about where their value lies and leaves them susceptible to abuse by some deviant adults adhering to values of individualism and seeking sensual gratification as a means to happiness.

    Q. What should be the response of the Muslim community?

The Rochdale case and other similar cases highlights the severe dangers of leaving Islamic values and adopting values alien to the belief of Islam. There will continue to be more cases like this unless there is safeguarding of the defined Islamic values against liberal ones within our communities. We need to help develop strong Islamic institutions (mosques and madrasas) that help inoculate against corrupting ideas while teaching the Islamic ideas of respecting other people, treating women and girls with respect and having the fear of Allah swt.

As Muslims living in the West, we reject the devastating secular values that treats women like objects and which drive men to satisfy their own desires. We must develop strong Islamic personalities that not only enable the rejection of non Islamic values but also demonstrate the beauty of Islam and the strength of its values for all people in this society.

As a community the debate needs to move away from the heavily polarised and internalised discussion that seeks to make us feel guilty for the issue. Rather, the debate should be widened and explored further onto the real underlying problems which created these sexual predators in British society.

More than 500 police officers disciplined or quit for sex offences - including child abuse and rape

    Sep 21, 2014

Dozens of officers have been jailed and more than 250 police were convicted of sex crimes or sacked, with more than 1,500 bobbies investigated in total
    .

More than 500 police have been disciplined in the past five years for sexual misconduct or have quit while under investigation.

Dozens of the officers were jailed for depraved offences including child abuse and rape.

In 252 cases, police were convicted of sex crimes or sacked.

Det Supt Jackie Alexander, of Notts police, said: “It is really important that forces have an open mind that abuse can occur because if we can’t protect the vulnerable, who can?”

She added that her force had been “proactive” in tackling the problem in recent years.

Our probe comes in the wake of constabularies being accused of failing to properly investigate rich and powerful pedophiles including TV star Jimmy Savile.

Police are also under fire for allowing gangs to abuse thousands of children in towns such as Rotherham and Rochdale.

We asked every force for details of their inquiries into claims of sexual misconduct against their officers between 2010 and now.

More than 1,500 police were investigated in total.

Shocking cases included former Warwickshire police officer Robert Tedds who pleaded guilty last year to making indecent images of children and taking photos up strangers’ skirts.

Arrested Catholic Archbishop’s computer contained over 100,000 images of children

    27 Sep 2014

Vatican detectives analyzing a computer used a by an archbishop arrested earlier this week discovered over 86,000 pornographic photos and 160 sexually explicit video files of children, reports the International Business Times.

According to investigators, another 45,000 pictures had been deleted.

Former Archbishop Jozef Wesolowski, 66, was arrested at the Vatican earlier this week on charges that he paid to have sex with minors when he was a papal ambassador in the Dominican Republic from 2008 to 2012.

Wesolowski is the first Vatican official to be arrested within the city state on charges of pedophilia.

The former archbishop was recalled to Rome by the Vatican last year while still a diplomat in Santo Domingo and relieved of his duties following accusations from Dominican media that he was paying for underaged sex partners.

Until earlier this week, he had been free to roam Rome, but is now being held in in a small room in the basement of the Collegio dei Penitenzieri, which hosts the Vatican’s court and military police.

Vatican authorities are now investigating if Wesolowski was part of a network of pedophiles and whether he abused children in other posts during his career.

Wesolowski previously served in South Africa, Costa Rica, Japan, Switzerland, India and Denmark.

If convicted, Wesolowski faces 12 years in jail in the first trial for sexual abuse to be held inside the Vatican City.

His trial is expected to start in January.

UK online pedophiles too many to prosecute: NCA

Britain will not charge pedophiles that possess child abuse images because of the high volume of people engaging in such activities.

According to the head of the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), Keith Bristow, it was "not realistic" to prosecute the 50,000 people in Britain who have viewed and shared child abuse images.

"Our responsibility is to focus on the greatest risk and tackle those people," he said.

The British Labour party labeled the NCA’s inactivity as "disgraceful" and said that the NCA was not fit to deal with the problem.

This is a disgraceful policy from the National Crime Agency and the Home Secretary which sees the vast majority of people downloading vile child abuse images not investigated, while children remain at risk,” said Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.

She went on to say that the NCA has details on tens of thousands of offenders who have accessed images of child abuse, but has only made 600 arrests.

“Of course they need to look first for the most dangerous cases, but it seems most cases aren’t being investigated at all,” she added.

She also said that if the NCA does not have the sufficient resources to investigate all cases, how come “the police arrest more than 220,000 people a year for theft and more than 110,000 for drug offences.”

The NCA is the UK’s lead agency against cyber crime, drug trafficking, economic crime and human trafficking and became fully operational on October 7, 2013.

In September, hundreds of indecent images of school children were found on the computer of a British teacher.

According to the police, nearly 600 secretly taken indecent images of boys aged nine to 12 were found on the computer of Martin Goldberg, the deputy head teacher of a school in Essex, England.

Recent reports show that British schools have witnessed a 40-percent rise in sex-crime reports from 2011 to 2013, with at least 2,865 cases being recorded.

    Comments:
From pedophile priests to the general public, pedophilia is part of the Anglo Christian culture and society. They are quick to blame others for heinous crimes and perversions when it is they who are drenched in it for who knows how many centuries. They married 9 year old girls, kidnapped and raped little children in the old days, even in columbus day that war criminal sent 9-10yr old girls back to Europe as sex slaves since that is what was in demand. And today majority of the pedophilia is in the west and pedo sex rings are being run by white christian males; not to mention majority of these pedophiles also go to other places to get services, such as world cup or the
    Super Bowl

Paedophilia and the Escape of Liberal Culpability

    OCTOBER 28, 2014

In October 2014 the National Crime Agency (NCA) admitted that an extensive number of suspected paedophiles will escape prosecution due to the monumental task of actually convicting the flood of cases coming through the door. The Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre (CEOP) estimated 50,000 people in the UK are involved in downloading and sharing images of child abuse, out of the suspects a mere 660 arrests have been made.

Keith Bristow, director general of the NCA said ”It was uncomfortable to accept that some of those in the UK who regularly access indecent images of children will not end up facing justice… law-enforcement agencies must instead focus on the highest-risk offenders.”

    A report by CEOP in 2012 found new trends in child sexual abuse offending. CEOP reveals research conducted by the NSPCC;

    • Around 5% of UK children suffer contact sexual abuse
    • Approximately 190,000 of these will fall victim to contact sexual abuse by a stranger before turning 18, representing more than 10,000 new victims in the UK every year

The second half of 2012 was dominated with reports of sexual abuse from the 70’s and 80’s, most notably the predatory and prolific sexual offending of Jimmy Saville and prominent celebrities in the public eye. The long and ugly list of British politicians and celebrities continues to be exposed and covered up.

With the endemic child abuse we find politicians continuously attributing the culpability on police and local enforcement agencies as though they are the root cause of the explosion of sexual abuse in the UK. Labour called it ‘disgraceful’ adding that the NCA was not fit for dealing with the problem. Former head of CEOP Jim Gamble “the government are now placing blame on the police…” the home office said “we are clear that all crimes should be investigated,” adding that the government was ”determined to stamp out” what was an ”appalling crime.”

Politicians of secular liberal democracies have a habit of ignoring the ideological underpinnings of their governing systems and constantly point figures at the institutions of the state. Such endemic problems in Britain such as the sexualisation of children, abuse of children and women, and a raucous self-indulgent culture are not the cause of governmental bodies whose responsibility is to obtain trends and try to rectify symptoms, but are rooted in the values that these systems are predicated on.

The answer to the question of how we deal with this heinous crime, lies in the process used to treat any disease. Like any disease treating the symptoms merely masks and diverts our attention from the problem whilst only after investigating the root cause can the treatment be found. The ideological question, however is not one for the House of Commons. Instead they would prefer to sensationalise global security issues such as terrorism and the threat posed by an enervated militia thousands of miles away from home.

The proliferation of child abuse is only one of the many symptoms that the Capitalist society displays. The marketing of women as sexual commodities whose value is reduced to lustfully advertising yoghurt and deodorants along with a glamorised celebrity lifestyle of sex and drugs fuelled by a multi-billion pounds pornography industry, the outcome of a hyper-sexualised society is inevitable. When this is married to a narcissistic culture that takes pride in sexual freedom, with no moral consciousness or accountability to God, the outcome is to satisfy desires however you see fit even if that paradoxically crosses the “red line” of sexual freedom.

This reality is however a mouthful to accept and the truth hurts as they say. So instead we see a blame culture by politicians even if it means picking on the minorities and juxtaposing the problem with a particular race or religion. In those limited cases where the ethnicity of the perpetrators was known, white men in gangs were responsible for most of the abuse. In relation to the size of the Black and Asian populations in Britain, Asian perpetrators were over-represented as were Black.

The widely publicised Rochdale grooming case involving 9 Pakistani men tapped into an undercurrent of racism and anti-Muslim feeling with the media and politicians quick to blame culture and religion for why Asian men targeted young white girls. Given the multitude of child abuse claims that have come to light in the wake of hundreds of sexual abuse allegations against Jimmy Saville, the media and the politicians still try to divert attention and exploit this report to highlight the disproportionate representation of particular ethnic groups as perpetrators. In reality, the report shows abuse is not necessarily specific to any ethnic group but a wider societal problem. This means that the underlying societal values are in fact responsible and not an ethnicity, religion, nationality or social class.

Consequences of such dogma has led to parts of the community of Rochdale to be treated indifferently. Just recently a Rochdale Taxi driver admitted to offering his customers with a white driver. Such are the social realities that Muslims will grow up with in Britain due to the government deflecting criticism of the social values of this country and instead shifting the blame to Muslims. Politicians then attempt to gain political expediency by showing the actions they will take to improve the local authorities handling of the symptom and avoid discussion of the cause. In summary, the cause of child exploitation is completely ignored and instead a societal discussion on ethnic minorities, namely the Muslims, takes place, even though statistics show that child exploitation is an endemic problem of the wider society.

In contrast, an Islamic society is underpinned by a completely different set of values to the liberal position. Islam sets out laws to prohibit the sexualisation of women for the gratification of men as Muslims carry a different set of concepts that view man-woman relations as preserving the human race and doesn’t focus on the sexual aspects of the relationship and limits sexual activity to marriage. Islam views sexual freedom as a danger to society that is harmful for the society and leads to corruption. Hence, meetings between men and women in seclusion outside of wedlock is forbidden. It is not permitted for woman to show of her charms to strangers and men and women looking at each other lustfully.

”Tell the believing men to lower from their gaze and to protect their private parts. That is better for them, Allah knows details of what they do, and tell the believing women to lower from their gaze and protect their private parts” (An-Nur:30).

”No man should be in seclusion (Khulwah) with a woman without her Mahram” (Al Bukhari)

Islam inculcates the concept God consciousness and an unwavering and clearly defined moral code for individuals in society. The Islamic personality is rooted on the basis of accountability to the Creator. This means that a Muslim seeks the pleasure of Allah SWT and not his own desires.

”On the day when Allah will resurrect them all together and inform them of what they did, Allah has kept account of it, while they have forgotten it, and Allah is witness over all things.”

The Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet (saw) addresses men and women as human beings not commodities, it does not objectify women rather sanctifies them, women have the same worth as men in the eyes of Allah (SWT) and what defines them is their piety.

“Whoever commits a sin is requited for just that, and whoever works righteousness -male or female -while believing, these will enter Paradise wherein they receive provisions without any limits.” [Surah Ghafir:40]

“The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character. And the best of you are those who are best to their women.” (At-Tirmidhi)

“O Messenger of Allah, who is most deserving of my good company?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Then your father.” (Al-Bukhari)

Finally under the political authority of Islam, the Khilafah, the social system is constructed on these values. All Muslims are taught the concept of accountability to God (Taq’wa) and so this self-policing mechanism means that an individual restricts his actions to the Shar’iah.

Secondly, the status of women in Islam is consistent with the political, economic and education system of Islam. This means that companies or politicians would not be free to take advantage of women, nor objectify them. Moreover, the education system will teach the same values to the whole of society and as a result a public opinion is created that shuns the degradation of women as we see in secular liberal societies.

Any individuals that commit such a heinous sexual crime would face strict punishment in order to deter the rest of society from abusing women.

Indonesia now number one destination for White Australian child sex tourists

    October 12, 2014

Every so often, a convicted Australian pedophile – we'll call him "Malcolm" – transfers small amounts of cash via Western Union to his "friends" in Indonesia.

Perhaps Malcolm is just being nice to some poor families in a country where 43 per cent of the population subsists on less than $2 per day.

But Australian police believe his "small but suspicious" cash transfers of $30, $40, $50, mean Malcolm may be buying sex acts which children are forced to perform live for him in front of a webcam. In other words, they believe, he's commissioning pay-per-view pedophilia.

But he does not stop there. Several times since 2013, most recently in the past three months, according to Australian Federal Police regional commander Chris Sheehan, Malcolm has travelled to Indonesia, usually for four to six weeks at a time.

"We know from our inquiries with the Indonesian police that he has a relationship with people here who have relationships with young children: family members," Sheehan told Fairfax Media in his Jakarta office.

"We suspect he's arranged for pay-per-view, and likes the child, so he comes to Indonesia to access the child."

If Malcolm is doing this, he's joining a large and growing cohort of Australian pedophiles seeking their guilty pleasure in the poor villages and towns of their northern neighbour.

It may surprise many but Indonesia has, in the past three years, eclipsed Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia to become the number one destination for Australian sex tourists. The latest figures, previously undisclosed to the public, show that 18 per cent of all sex offenders who appear on a state-based register come to Indonesia — that's 25 per month. Most start in Bali but they may travel to other destinations within the massive country.

Some are doubtless on holidays, Sheehan says. But for the dedicated predator, access to prey is what draws them, and there is plenty in a country where one-third of the population – 80 million people – are under 18 and desperate poverty makes them and their families susceptible to the lure of hard cash.

On the busiest part of Kuta's tourist strip, little girls like Lina, 12, and her little sister Lisa, 7, simply walk up to these men in the street.

They come from the dirt-poor mountainside villages of Karangasem in Bali's far east to sell woven bracelets to tourists. Other small children knock on car windows at traffic lights on Sunset Road or Benoa asking for money. Their mothers are often nearby, too, suckling babies and begging. These children – working for a living and starved of money, attention and affection – are incredibly vulnerable.

"A bule [white foreigner] already promised me a job once I graduate from elementary school," Lina says proudly. She met him on Kuta beach a few years ago and he was now paying for her to go to school for the first time – she's so far behind that she's in third grade.

Perhaps it's a legitimate offer of help, says slum school teacher Anggie Cahyani, from charity Sekolah Harapan Bali, but perhaps not. It can be hard to tell. But Anggie has seen plenty of examples of the wrong kind of charity.

In 1997, pedophile school teacher Peter Dundas Wallbran met his 8-year-old victim selling trinkets on the beach on Lombok. He offered to help, fostered the boy, paid for his education and clothing and charmed his family for seven full years while, in private, he was violently raping him.

Whatever happens in Lina's friendship with the friendly westerner, everyone here knows that, at 12, her career as a beggar is coming to an end. Adolescents are simply less cute than their younger brothers and sisters, so their earning power falls sharply.

"They get too old," says Nyoman Binar, an older woman also begging on the beach-front boulevard Jalan Pantai Kuta. "By 12, the girls are going to the massage [parlours]. I'm not sure what kind of massage because I don't have any girls."

Lina's big sister, 20, already has a baby who lives in the village while she has worked for several years in a spa. When we ask what kind of massage she performs, Lina avoids the question.

Western male tourists to Kuta, Seminyak or Sanur, though, know the answer. It's spelled out in the offers whispered into their ears by touts and taxi drivers: "You want sex, boss? We have girls – young girls". And, in a country where the age of consent is 18, it's barely disguised even on public websites extolling Bali's sexual secrets. One thread informs men about a short-stay hotel with available high school girls, but only out of school hours and before 7pm lest "their parents knock on your door".

Slum teacher Anggie says the lure of money and pressure from the family to earn it made it difficult for her to keep teenage girls' minds on their studies. Many have met bule "friends" in the streets who lure them with phones, cameras and jewellery. The ultimate goal for some, Anggie says, is to marry one, because all westerners are considered rich.

The boys who get too old to beg often join one of a number of gangs such as Laskar Bali or Baladika Bali, where they are useful as footsoldiers before growing big enough to do the heavier lifting.

A few girls do go back to the village to look after the babies. But there is very little future there. The eruption of Mount Agung in 1963 rendered the soil infertile and wrecked water storage. Life in the eight-month dry season became one long search for potable water, and people left to beg in the city. Today's young Kuta beggars and trash pickers are the fourth generation.

Natalia Perry from the Safe Childhoods Foundation says there are two types of sex tourists: "prolific", who gather in pedophile forums, admit what they are and plan to abuse children; and "situational", who might see a young-looking girl or boy and give into temptation.

Both types flock from Australia and other Western countries to Bali, and the Indonesian police are yet to attack the problem hard, she says.

"Of Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines and Thailand, Indonesia is the only country that has not tightened up."

Even admitting there is a problem is difficult for some local authorities, Perry says.

"They feel they have the 'Bali is Paradise Island' image to defend: it makes them very sensitive about it."

In Western societies it's the historical abuse cases – from Rolf Harris to the Catholic priests –that have brought child sex assault to the fore. But in Balinese culture, people don't want to revisit old ills.

"If you talk about something bad that happened in the past, you'll reawaken the evil spirits from the time," Perry says.

Indonesian police are also hamstrung by their investigative processes. They can only charge someone if a complaint is laid – in other words, if a child is prepared to make a statement. In a culture where parents may have helped facilitate the sex act, that is vanishingly rare.

There is also a widespread view (including among police, though it appears nowhere in the law) that if someone, even a child, has been offered and accepted money for sex, no crime has been committed.

Even if a man is arrested for pedophilia, another payment can see the problem go away. In one case last year, a South African man raped a 13-year-old girl who, unusually, made a complaint. The police arrested him, then helped facilitate a meeting at which the girl's parents came to a financial settlement with the rapist's family.

For all of these reasons child sex tourism is not going away in Indonesia. An increase in internet infrastructure and the increasing ability to speak English at the village level might mean that the pay-per-view style of offence that has led to convictions elsewhere will also boom.

Perry's organisation will soon launch a campaign in Bali to remind situational offenders that what they are contemplating is illegal and immoral. It attacks the self-serving justifications they use, such as "she needs the money" and "she wants it".

Prolific offenders – the planning paedophiles – will be reminded of a wide network of police forces, including the Australian Federal Police, the Indonesian Police and Interpol, who are now tracking them through their chat rooms and travel plans.

Every time an Australian sex offender travels, the destination country receives an alert, Sheehan says.

He also flags a new determination among Indonesia law enforcers to understand and address the problem. The case at the Jakarta International School – no matter how dubious are the facts – has galvanised Indonesian society. A recent conference talked about establishing a dedicated child protection taskforce.

"They are now looking at a national response; they are not sitting idly by waiting for it to become a crisis," Sheehan says.

Of people like "Malcolm", for example: "If we get information that this guy is doing something wrong in Indonesia, there is a good chance he's facing an extended period in an Indonesian jail."

Wallbrand, the Australian school teacher who raped a series of boys in Lombok, was caught in Australia, extradited to Indonesia, and sent to jail.

Sheehan said one of the key reasons the AFP had big posts in south-east Asia was to combat the scourge of sex tourism.

"It's up there with counter-terrorism and people smuggling," he says.

"My advice to potential offenders is: reconsider travelling to Indonesia, the Philippines and other parts of southeast Asia, because you increasingly face the likelihood that you'll be investigated and then prosecuted."

Florida 'sex tourist' busted in international sting for repeatedly traveling to Colombia 'to have sex with young girls and produce homemade porn films'

    • Dennis DeJesus, 45, a logistics specialist from Florida, charged with traveling to Colombia to engage in illicit sexual activity
    • International sting operation also netted 11 Colombia suspects
    • DeJesus shared his 'sex tourism' plans involving 'fresh' girls under the age of 18 with an undercover agent nicknamed 'Todd' on Facebook

A Florida man has been arrested on suspicion that he made several trips to South America to have sex with underage girls and make child pornography involving masks and costumes.

Dennis DeJesus, an unmarried 45-year-old logistics specialist from North Lauderdale, was arrested last Saturday on a federal charge of child sex tourism as part of an international sting operation, which also netted 11 Colombian suspects.

According to the US Department of Homeland Security, federal agents rescued 55 children, some as young as 11 years old, who allegedly were forced to work as prostitutes, Sun-Sentinel reported.

Some of the victims said they had been plied with cocaine and ecstasy before sexual encounters.

According to police, Dennis DeJesus traveled to the Colombian cities of Bogota and Medellin several times over the past year for the purpose of having sex with underage prostitutes.

The portly, bespectacled Floridian caught the attention of federal officials last month when they received a tip about his alleged involvement in 'sex tourism.'

An undercover agent identified in court records as 'Todd' befriended DeJesus on Facebook, and before long the two were making plans for a joint sex-capade in Colombia.

Communicating via instant messenger, DeJesus and his new 'friend’ talked about the prospect of having sex with 'fresh' girls - a code phrase they had agreed upon to signify a prostitute under the age of 18.

Court records state that in September, DeJesus reached out to the undercover agent telling him that he knew a 'fresh' sex worker who charged $300 'for the whole night.'

The 45-year-old North Lauderdale resident also confided in his Facebook friend that he had picked up props for their upcoming trip: costumes, masks, silk gloves and lingerie for the girls to wear in his homemade porn videos.

DeJesus also allegedly revealed that he cataloged all his teen lovers in his phone, complete with each girl’s name and picture.

When federal agents searched DeJesus' home in the 7800 block of Southwest Fourth Place, they allegedly discovered two X-rated videos and one photograph depicting an underage girl performing oral sex on a man.

Officials also came upon a stash of lingerie, costumes and masks.

DeJesus, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, told federal investigators that he has been making bi-annual trips to Colombia since 2007 to visit friends, but he denied hiring underage prostitutes.

The 45-year-old did admit, however, that he has talked to young girls online and was tempted to have sex with them.

Addressing the presence of costumes intended for young girls in his house, DeJesus said he was planning to take them to Colombia as Halloween presents for his friends’ children.

So far, the suspect has been charged with a single count of traveling to engage in illicit sexual activity with another person, but prosecutors say they expect to file additional charges against DeJesus.

About 35,000 underage boys and girls are involved in child prostitution in Colombia, according to the Colombian Family Welfare Institute.

Texas police arrest 20 'child predators' in sex sting after posting ad online that got 180 responses in 12 hours

    • The suspects allegedly showed up to meetings that they set up to have sex with children
    • The victims in this case were actually McLennan County detectives who has been posing as minors online
    • Police say they were shocked by the number of responses to their online ad for child sex
    • Suspects include two women and range in age from 19 to 63

    11/7/14

Police in Waco, Texas, who set up an online sex sting were shocked when their Internet post advertising child sex got more than 180 responses in just 12 hours.

The operation, which had detectives posing as minors online, resulted in the arrests of 20 people, age 19 to 63.

They were busted after arranging what they believed would be meetings to have sex with children. When they arrived, however, they found cops and handcuffs.

'It's really just about every kind of weird sicko you can think of,' McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara told the San Antonio Express-News.

McNamara said his detectives were horrified by the massive response to an online posting they made that advertised a minor wanting to have sex with adults. Of the 180 responses that cops got in 12 hours, many followed through and exchanged messages with detectives

According to the Waco Tribune, detectives were so busy responding to the messages that they continued the exchanges even during off hours when they were away from work.

'The response was incredible; these creeps came out of the woodwork,' Sheriff McNamara told the Tribune.

In the end, 20 people - 18 men and two women - from three counties agreed to meetings with the detectives posing as vulnerable children.

They set up meetings at public places across Waco - in the Walmart parking lot, at the popular local restaurant Taco Bueno, the mall, grocery stores, a public park and at McDonald's.

'I think it’s extremely dangerous. These people are shopping in the same places we shop,' the sheriff said.

All 20 of the people arrested are dangerous 'child predators,' he added.

They are charged with felony online solicitation of minors. Authorities said they are trying to add more charges as well.

Former Minister says Thatcher aide was paedophile who preyed on boys' home - and Hague should have known

    • An ex-Tory minister has claimed Sir Peter Morrison was implicated in the child abuse scandal that engulfed children's homes in North Wales
    • An inquiry discovered up to 650 children in 40 homes were sexually, physically and emotionally in the 1970s and '80s
    • Rod Richards, a former Tory MP, said he had seen

    10/27/12

A former Tory Minister last night made incendiary claims that one of Margaret Thatcher’s closest aides was implicated in one of the most harrowing child abuse scandals of recent times.

Rod Richards, a former Conservative MP and ex-leader of the Welsh Tories, made the shocking allegation that he had seen evidence linking Sir Peter Morrison to the North Wales children’s homes case, in which up to 650 children in 40 homes were sexually, physically and emotionally abused over 20 years.

Mr Richards also linked a second leading Tory grandee – now dead – to the scandals at homes including Bryn Estyn and Bryn Alyn Hall, both near Wrexham.

He said official documents had identified the pair as frequent, unexplained visitors to the care homes.

Mr Richards – who helped establish the inquiry that unearthed the scale of the abuse – said bluntly: ‘What I do know is that Morrison was a paedophile. And the reason I know that is because of the North Wales child abuse scandal.’

He added that William Hague, who was Welsh Secretary at the time of the inquiry, ‘should have seen the evidence about Morrison’.

Morrison was Lady Thatcher’s parliamentary private secretary and deputy chairman of the Conservative Party.

The claims prompted Labour MPs to call for the files to be reopened to ensure that there had not been an ‘establishment cover-up’.

Mr Hague called the inquiry into the scandal in 1996 after care homes boss John Allen was convicted of child abuse. It concluded that a paedophile ring around Cheshire and Wrexham had caused ‘appalling suffering’ to children in care in the Seventies and Eighties.

Mr Richards said he received detailed briefings about the case while junior Welsh Office Minister for health and social services.

He said: ‘It fell to me to decide initially whether to hold a public inquiry. So I saw all the documentation and the files. Morrison was linked. His name stood out on the notes to me because he had been an MP. He and [the other man] were named as visitors to the homes.’

Mr Richards could not offer anything to substantiate his claims against Morrison, who died in 1995 at the age of 51. But he said that as the MP for Chester, he would have no obvious reason to visit care homes in other MPs’ constituencies.

The claims have emerged amid growing public revulsion over the institutional failures revealed by the Jimmy Savile scandal. Savile was a regular guest of Lady Thatcher’s at Chequers.

Mr Richards added that he was frustrated that the £13 million, three-year inquiry headed by Sir Ronald Waterhouse QC had not uncovered any evidence to link Morrison to the abuse. He said: ‘It would seem that there are some parallels with Savile in that Morrison got in under the radar, and his activities did not appear in the final report’.

However, he said that as Welsh Secretary, Mr Hague ‘should have seen the evidence about Morrison’ in the preliminary files.

Last night, sources close to Mr Hague said that he had never come across any information implicating Morrison. His spokesman said: ‘Mr Hague established the North Wales Child Abuse Inquiry precisely because of the serious and widespread reports of abuse. It was set up to be as thorough as possible and its terms of reference were widely supported in Parliament.’

Tory peer John Cope – a Tory contemporary of Morrison’s in the Commons – told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Without hard evidence I cannot find these allegations credible.’

Mr Richard’s intervention follows claims last week by former Tory Minister Edwina Currie that Morrison had sex with 16-year-old boys when the age of consent was 21 and that he had been protected by a ‘culture of sniggering’. In her diaries, she called him ‘a noted pederast’, with a liking for young boys.

Last week, Labour MP Tom Watson stunned the Commons when he asked David Cameron to examine historic allegations about a high-level paedophile ring linked to a former Downing Street aide – who he later clarified was not Morrison.

Last night Labour MP Khalid Mahmood said of the allegations about Morrison: ‘These are extremely serious claims. The evidence files should be reopened to ensure that there has not been an establishment cover-up at the heart of Westminster’.

North Wales police did not respond to calls for comment.

Theresa May: Westminster sex abuse claims are ‘the tip of the iceberg’

    23 Nov 2014

Home Secretary Theresa May has warned that recent allegations of child sex abuse at public institutions may only be the ‘tip of the iceberg’.

Speaking to the BBC’s Andrew Marr show, she said it was crucial to ‘get to the truth’ of the crimes, which allegedly occurred in the 1970s and 1980s.

The latest allegations include claims that the police may have covered up the murder of an eight-year-old boy by a Westminster paedophile ring.

However, May said that she was determined that the issues would be fully investigated.

She added: ‘How was it that in the past, but continuing today, the very institutions of the state that should be protecting children were not doing so?’ she said.

‘Why was it that these abuses were able to take place and that nobody was brought to justice as a result of that?’

‘We must as a society, I believe, get to the truth of that’.

Metropolitan Police commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has also stressed that police are taking claims seriously, and promised there would be no cover up.

He added: ‘We have got 40 detectives looking into these relatively new claims.’

‘There are a series of claims over a relatively long period of time and not all of them are linked, although in the public’s imagination they may be.’

‘We have now had more recently this discussion or these claims about murder and, of course, that makes it even more serious.’

The Government is still without a chairman for their inquiry into the handling of paedophile activity by public bodies after the resignation of Fiona Woolf.

Mrs Woolf, who recently ended a tenure as Lord Mayor of London, announced she would be stepping down from the post earlier this month over her links to former MP Leon Britton, who is currently at the centre of sexual abuse allegations.

Westminster abuse inquiries: At least 10 famous politicians ‘named again and again’ by child abuse helpline callers

    7/8/14

Child protection campaigners say at least 10 “famous” current and former politicians will now face being investigated over allegations of historic abuse.

The figures, including a number who are now dead, have been identified “again and again” by callers to child abuse helplines, it has been claimed.

It comes as Theresa May announced an independent inquiry will look into how the state and other institutions have handled accusations of abuse over the past four decades.

Dr Jon Bird, of the National Association for People Abused In Childhood (Napac), said it looked like the 10 politicians will “at last” face up to the accusations – and warned that he expected more allegations to follow.

He told Sky News: “The names of people in very high places - politicians, senior police officers and even some judges - have been going around as alleged abusers for a very long time.

“Since the Jimmy Savile revelations, there's been a sea change in the way police and the CPS respond to these sort of complaints and now, at last, it looks like these people are going to be investigated.”

Peter McKelvie, a former child protection manager, said he believed that the number of “prominent figures” linked to an alleged Westminster paedophile network could be “upwards of 20”.

He told the BBC's Newsnight programme that there was also “a much larger number of people who have known about it and done nothing about it, who were in a position to do something about it”.

Today Mark Sedwill, the most senior civil servant at the Home Office, will be questioned by MPs over the department’s handling of child abuse allegations made over a 20 year period.

The permanent secretary will appear before the home affairs select committee amid questions over the quality of a review he commissioned last year.

Lord Brittan, the home secretary in Margaret Thatcher's Conservative government from 1983 to 1985, has faced questions over his handling of a dossier, compiled at the time by the late Tory MP Geoffrey Dickens, which contained allegations of a predatory paedophile network operating in and around Westminster.

NSPCC chief executive Peter Wanless has been asked by Ms May to look into the adequacy of the probe into the way claims were dealt with and the response of police and prosecutors to information which was passed on to them.

And she revealed that a wider inquiry, carried out by an independent panel of experts and given access to all the Government papers it requests, could be converted into a full public inquiry if its chairman – who is yet to be appointed – feels it is necessary.

It is unlikely to report before next year's general election, but Ms May promised that an update on its progress will be given to Parliament before May 2015.

Prime Minister David Cameron said his Government would leave “no stone unturned” in seeking the truth about widespread allegations of a paedophile ring with links to the establishment in the 1980s.

‘Drugged & assaulted’: Former schoolboy alleges abuse by serving UK minister

    11/6/14

A former schoolboy claims he was drugged and assaulted by a serving UK Coalition minister when he was a mere 14 years old. The man alleges police were reluctant to investigate the matter because of the politician’s position of power in Government.

The man, whose name has not been published, reportedly told police officials the politician had given him a small pill wrapped in paper, which left him nauseous. He says he later woke up in a bed unclothed. The man told The Mirror he remembered nothing of the alleged sexual assault, but awoke with a concrete “feeling” he had been abused.

“I went to bed and felt bloody awful. I don’t remember anything after that. The police asked me if I was of the opinion that he abused me while in that condition and I said yes,”
    the former schoolboy said.

The man, referred to as “Thomas” by The Mirror, says he has suffered frequent nightmares, depression, and has made an attempt to end his life because of the alleged assault.

He first reported the incident roughly twelve months ago to police investigating child abuse carried out at a school in the 1980s.
Thomas claims he was told by police there are no plans to question the minister at the center of his allegations. The Midlands-based man said he was informed by the officer leading the investigation the inquiry was dropped because Thomas is unable to remember the alleged assault.

Asked by The Mirror on whether he had attended the school at the center of the child abuse allegations, the accused minister said: “Not only have I never been investigated, but there has been no allegation made and nor are there any grounds for any allegation.”

Thomas approached Labour MP Tom Watson about the alleged incident, who has been vocal in Parliament regarding allegations of a historic elite pedophile network operating in Westminster.

Watson has confirmed he will write an official letter to Director of Public Prosecutions Alison Saunders, and request that the accused minister be questioned about his knowledge of the school.

“Allegations of extreme cases of violent and sadistic abuse have been made about this institution and I’m very surprised that the police do not want to interview everyone who was there,”
    he said.

Police said three people have formally reported abuse they claim took place at the school. But Thomas is the only person to level an accusation against the minister.Thomas’ allegations will intensify pressure on the Coalition, which has been sharply criticized for its handling of an inquiry into a protracted cover-up of an Establishment pedophile ring that has eroded confidence in Westminster and blacked the legacy of former British administrations.Lord Tebbit said earlier this year that a political cover-up may have been orchestrated to protect establishment figures in the 1980s.

“At that time I think most people would have thought that the establishment … was to be protected and if a few things had gone wrong here and there that it was more important to protect the system than to delve too far into it,”
    he told the BBC.

Fiona Woolf last week became the second chairwoman to stand down from the beleaguered inquiry following reports of her social connection to former Conservative Home Secretary Leon Brittan, a central figure in the investigation.

'I watched Tory MP MURDER a boy during depraved Westminster VIP paedophile party'

    11/15/14

Disgraced: Among the cops' claims is new information about former MP Cyril Smith

The abuse victim's claims are being treated as credible by detectives now investigating THREE murders allegedly linked to a network of VIP perverts.

A victim of the Westminster paedophile abuse scandal has claimed he saw a Conservative MP murder a young boy during a depraved sex party. And the Sunday People can reveal that detectives are investigating THREE murders allegedly linked to a network of VIP perverts. The horrifying account comes days after Scotland Yard confirmed they have launched a murder probe *connected to allegations of sex abuse from the 1970s and 80s.

Today the Sunday People and Exaro investigations agency expose the full extent of shocking events the witness, known as Nick, has described to the Metropolitan Police paedophile unit. Nick claims the first death was of a boy aged ten or 11 who was *deliberately run down by a car. Another chilling allegation is that he was in the same room in the 1980s when a 12-year-old boy was strangled by a Tory MP. Nick said: “I watched while that happened. I am not sure how I got out of that. Whether I will ever know why I survived, I am not sure. ”Eighteen months later, he claims a third boy was killed by two unknown men in front of another MP. Nick told of his terror as he and the strangling victim were driven to an orgy.

He said: “We looked at each other and saw the fear in each other’s eyes. We said nothing. “I knew we were being taken somewhere to be sexually abused by powerful men. “But I had no idea of the true horror of what was about to happen. ”Nick had been picked up at an agreed meeting point. He recalled: “The car was *chauffeur-driven although I can’t *remember the make.“ Cars were sent to take us to various locations to be abused. They were often luxury cars with a chauffeur.“ They would be dark in colour – Jaguars, Rolls-Royces, Daimlers or Range Rovers.” He was driven to a location in *central London. On the way the car stopped to pick up another lad. Nick says the boy had brown hair and was aged around 12 but he never discovered his name. Both lads sat in silence for fear of punishment. They arrived at a luxury townhouse and were taken inside. Nick, still traumatised by what he witnessed, has given a graphic and harrowing account to police about what took place.

In hours of video testimony, he described how he saw the Conservative MP – who was sitting in Parliament at the time – throttle the boy. He said: “The MP was particularly nasty, even among the group of people who sexually abused me and others. I still find it difficult to talk about these incidents after all these years.”

A second witness has already corroborated some of the information related to the case, lending weight to Nick’s claims and strengthening his credibility in the eyes of the police. Nick has also told detectives about the death of another boy during a depraved sexual assault in the presence of a Conservative minister – a different MP to the one involved in the first killing. Nick believes the car killing was a warning to him.He says someone in the paedophile network deliberately ran over and killed a boy in broad daylight on a London street. He is convinced the perverts were demonstrating their power and showing what could happen if he spoke out. Nick said his abusive father supplied him to a group of MPs and other VIPs who held abuse parties at Dolphin Square – an apartment complex in Pimlico, near Parliament – and at other locations in London. He says the minister repeatedly raped him and other boys aged between ten and 14.

His claims are being investigated by police under Operation Midland, a strand of the Operation Fairbank inquiry set up to examine allegations of historical child abuse. Exaro helped to arrange for Nick to pass his crucial testimony to the Met. On Friday, the Met announced Operation Midland was now *investigating “possible homicide”. A statement said: “Detectives from the child abuse investigation command are working closely with colleagues from homicide and major crime concerning this information.”

Nick insisted a reporter from Exaro was present at a meeting with detectives when he gave them the name of the MP who allegedly murdered the boy, along with a list of other prominent people who he says sexually and physically abused him.He also helped compile “e-fit” pictures of the murdered boys. Nick went on: “There will be other people who know about the punishment and abuse carried out by this group - drivers of the cars who took the boys to venues, staff at the venues. Perhaps they can now come forward.” He said he was taken to Dolphin Square at least ten times when parties were held. Different men would enter and leave during the evening.

Nick was around 11 when he first went there for a Christmas party. He recalled: “We would be ordered not to speak to each other.“Sometimes I would be driven there with other children. On other occasions I would be driven there alone and joined other children there.”He described being led to a heavily curtained flat via several flights of stairs and a “dimly lit, musty” corridor. And he added: “We were asked if we wanted a drink. It was always whisky. Both MPs were brutal. I was raped over a bath-tub while my head was beneath the water.”He claimed one MP told him to thrash another lad and “sexually punished” him when he refused.

Last week we told how Nick, now in his 40s, had identified a shamed top diplomat and MI6 chief as one of his attackers. He picked out a photo of Sir Peter Hayman – a former deputy director of the secret service. Hayman, for many years a pillar of the establishment, caused a scandal when he was caught with paedophile literature. Nick said Hayman, who died in 1992, was one of a group of men who raped him as a child. He is satisfied police are taking his claims “extremely seriously”.

A statement by Scotland Yard said: “Our inquiries have revealed further information regarding possible homicide."Based on our current knowledge, this is the first time this information has been passed to the Met.”

Police are convinced witness is credible

Investigator Mark Conrad says: “Nick’s account of his decade-long abuse – the trafficking, sexual and physical assaults and murders – and revelations about the status of the men defied belief.“ Unlike many abuse survivors, Nick has gone on to have a successful life. He is intelligent, articulate and strong-minded.“His accounts are uncomfortably detailed and consistent.“ In July, Exaro together with the Sunday People published a report on alleged abuse at Dolphin Square.“Nick agreed to meet detectives, but he insisted that I attend. Like Exaro, the police regard Nick as credible."The Met duly launched Operation Midland, and an investigation into possible homicide.”

Retired Scotland Yard detectives back up claims that paedo MPs murdered boys at sex orgies

    11/23/14

The former officers first investigated the allegations more than 30 years ago - and they have now provided testimony to the Yard's new probe

Paedophile politicians at Westminster murdered young boys at sex orgies, say two former Scotland Yard detectives, writes Mark Conrad and Keir Mudie in the Sunday People.

The retired officers who first investigated the allegations more than 30 years ago have provided explosive testimony to the Yard’s new probe.

The pair have made written statements to the Met Police about the VIP network which they claim was known as The Untouchables because they were too powerful to bring to justice.

It is believed the ex-cops – one of them Special Branch – told the current inquiry that they were *ordered NOT to investigate the group.

Their dramatic new evidence appears to corroborate claims by a victim known as Nick that he witnessed a young boy being *murdered by an MP.

The former Special Branch *officer told police: “There was a significant paedophile group in Parliament who were untouchable to the police.”

The two former policemen came forward at the same time to present their shocking new claims before the Met announced they had launched a *homicide investigation.

The statement from the Yard was a significant *development in the scandal which threatens to expose murders and child abuse at the heart of Government.

Last week the Sunday People and the Exaro investigation *website revealed that detectives from the Met Police’s paedophile unit had already received chilling testimony from a witness who says he saw an MP kill a boy in front of him.

The evidence from the two ex-policemen seems to lend weight to Nick’s shocking testimony.

Campaigning Labour MP Tom Watson, who has led calls for a full-scale inquiry, said yesterday: “These allegations show the *investigation is gathering even more momentum.

“These are serious allegations that cannot be ignored. It is not only witnesses who are coming forward – it’s police as well.

“I would urge any other officers from the time to come forward to the Met and give their evidence.

“They may have been reticent in the past but now is the time to share their experiences. With their help, we may finally be able to uncover terrible injustices.”

The two policemen have alleged to detectives from Operation Fairbank – set up to investigate historical child abuse – about the existence of the sinister group.

They said their efforts to expose an evil network at the heart of the Establishment were thwarted.

The two officers have also *provided information about the identities of VIP members of the paedophile ring. Among their claims is new *information about *disgraced former MP Cyril Smith.

The new testimony backs up the Sunday People’s reports earlier this year that Smith, who died four years ago aged 82, was linked to a wider network.

We revealed the Rochdale MP was a regular visitor to the infamous Elm Guest House in south-west London.

Now the two former officers have told police that Smith was part of the gang of “Untouchables” they were not *allowed to investigate.

Further testimony from the two *officers also links Jimmy Savile to the Westminster paedophile ring.

The BBC star presenter was *unmasked as a serial child-sex pervert after hundreds of victims came forward following his death at the age of 84 in 2011.

But this is the first time testimony has surfaced linking Savile to Establishment paedophiles.

Last week retired magistrate Vishambar Mehrotra came forward with his own fears about a Westminster paedophile ring. Mr Mehrotra’s eight-year-old son Vishal disappeared in 1981.

The boy’s partial remains were found in woodland in West Sussex the *
    following year.

Mr Mehrotra says he was contacted by a male prostitute who claimed the lad may have been murdered by “highly placed” paedophiles linked to Elm Guest House. Mr Mehrotra recorded the conversation but when he took it to police no action was taken.

He added: “At that time I trusted the police. But when nothing happened, I became confused and concerned.

“Now it is clear to me that there has been a huge cover-up. There is no doubt in my mind.”

Their new claims come after Exaro and the Sunday People revealed last week that the Met was investigating an allegation that a young boy was murdered by a Conservative MP *during a sickening sex attack.

The allegation is that the boy was one of three killed by the network of MP and VIP paedophiles.

Detectives are hoping to see whether the two former officers can help to corroborate the account of an abuse survivor known as Nick who says he witnessed three separate murders of boys by members of the paedo network more than three decades ago.

This has led to Operation Midland under the Fairbank umbrella, which is investigating Nick’s allegations of murders and child sex abuse.

The Met has confirmed that Operation Midland is investigating “possible homicide” along with historical allegations of child sex abuse.

Nick passed to Exaro and the Met the names of 12 people in the “Westminster paedophile network” who sexually abused him.

They include three former Conservative MPs, one who was a minister, and an ex-Labour MP.

Sir Peter Hayman, former *deputy director of the Secret Intelligence Service MI6, is among the 12, *although Nick initially thought that he was an MP because he mixed with politicians at Westminster’s Dolphin Square luxury apartment block and other locations.

Nick does not know the names of other guests.

Detectives on Operation Midland are planning to compile a series of pictures of associates of those named to see whether he can identify any of them.

Media ‘gagged over bid to report MP child sex cases’

Security services accused of aiding Westminster paedophilia cover-up

    11/22/14

The security services are facing questions over the cover-up of a Westminster paedophile ring as it emerged that files relating to official requests for media blackouts in the early 1980s were destroyed. Two newspaper executives have told the Observer that their publications were issued with D-notices – warnings not to publish intelligence that might damage national security – when they sought to report on allegations of a powerful group of men engaging in child sex abuse in 1984. One executive said he had been accosted in his office by 15 uniformed and two non-uniformed police over a dossier on Westminster paedophiles passed to him by the former Labour cabinet minister Barbara Castle.

The other said that his newspaper had received a D-notice when a reporter sought to write about a police investigation into Elm Guest House, in southwest London, where a group of high-profile paedophiles was said to have operated and may have killed a child. Now it has emerged that these claims are impossible to verify or discount because the D-notice archives for that period “are not complete”. Officials running the D-notice system, which works closely with MI5 and MI6 and the Ministry of Defence, said that files “going back beyond 20 years are not complete because files are reviewed and correspondence of a routine nature with no historical significance destroyed”.The spokesman added: “I cannot believe that past D-notice secretaries would have countenanced the destruction of any key documents. I can only repeat that while any attempted cover-up of this incident might have been attributed to a D-notice the truth would be that it was not.”

Theresa May, home secretary, this month told the Commons that an official review into whether there had been a cover-up of the Home Office’s handling of child-abuse allegations in the 1980s had returned a verdict of “not proven”. The review, by Peter Wanless, the chief executive of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, was prompted by the discovery that 114 Home Office files related to child abuse in the 1980s had gone missing.

On Saturday night the Labour MP for Rochdale, Simon Danczuk, whose bookSmile for the Camera exposed the child sex abuse of the late Liberal MP Cyril Smith, said it was a matter of deep concern that D-notice correspondence had also disappeared, presumed destroyed. D-notices to media outlets are rare, with just five sent in 2009 and 10 in 2010, according to a freedom of information response from Air Vice-Marshal Andrew Vallance, secretary of the defence, press and broadcasting advisory committee, which oversees the system.Danczuk said: “There are clearly questions to be answered as to why these documents were destroyed. They issue very few of them – where was the need to destroy correspondence?“It feels like just another example of key documents from that period going missing. We need to know more about what has happened.

The journalists who have said that D-notices were issued are respected people with no reason to lie.”The two journalists, Don Hale, the former editor of the Bury Messenger, and Hilton Tims, news editor of the Surrey Comet between 1980 and 1988, both recall their publications being issued with D-notices around 1984. Tims, a veteran of the Daily Mail and BBC, where he was head of publicity for the launch of colour TV, said that his chief reporter had informed him that a D-notice had been issued to him after he tried to report on a police investigation into events at Elm Guest House, where Smith is said to have been a regular visitor.Tims, 82, said: “One of the reporters on routine calls to the police learned that there was something going down at the guest house in Barnes. It was paedophilia, although that wasn’t the fashionable phrase at the time, it was ‘knocking up young boys’, or something like that.“The reporter was told that there were a number of high-profile people involved and they were getting boys from a care home in the Richmond area.

So I put someone on to it, the chief reporter I think, to make inquiries. It was the following day that we had a D-notice slapped on us; the reporter came over and told me. It was the only time in my career.”Hale, who was awarded an OBE for his successful campaign to overturn the murder conviction of Stephen Downing, a victim of one of the longest-known miscarriages of justice, said he was issued with a D-notice when editor of the Bury Messenger. He had been given a file by Castle, by then an MEP, which had details of a Home Office investigation into allegations made by the Tory MP Geoffrey Dickens of the existence of a Westminster paedophile ring.

The files contained the name of 16 MPs said to be involved and another 40 who were supportive of the goals of the Paedophile Information Exchange, which sought to reduce the age of consent. Hale said he asked the Home Office for guidance on the dossier and the progress of the investigation but was stonewalled. Hale said: “Then shortly after Cyril Smith bullied his way into my office. I thought he was going to punch me. He was sweating and aggressive and wanted to take the files away, saying it was a load of nonsense and that Barbara Castle just had a bee in her bonnet about homosexuals. I refused to give him the files.

“The very next day two non-uniformed officers, about 15 uniformed officers and another non-uniformed person, who didn’t introduce himself, came to the office waving a D-notice and said that I would be damaging national security if I reported on the file.”
A spokesman for the D-notice system said: “If Don Hale was ‘served’ with anything purporting to be a ‘D-notice’, it was quite obviously a fabrication.”

IN GREAT BRITAIN, PROTECTING PEDOPHILE POLITICIANS IS A MATTER OF “NATIONAL SECURITY”

Those with the sickest minds understand that they can most easily get away with their deeds if they are protected by an aura of power and ostensible respectability

I’ve long written about how the percentage of sociopaths within a group of humans becomes increasingly concentrated the higher you climb within the positions of power in a society, with it being most chronic amongst those who crave political power (see: Humanity is Rising). The reason for this is obvious. Those with the sickest minds, and who wish to act upon their destructive fantasies, understand that they can most easily get away with their deeds if they are protected by an aura of power and ostensible respectability. They believe that as a result of their status, no one would dare accuse them of horrific activities, and if it ever came to that, they could quash any investigation. Unfortunately for us all, this is typically the case. I previously covered the issue of powerful pedophiles in the UK in the piece: Former BBC Host “Sir” Jimmy Savile Exposed as Major Player in Massive Pedophile Ring. Now we have evidence of yet another case.

    The Guardian reports that:

The security services are facing questions over the cover-up of a Westminster paedophile ring as it emerged that files relating to official requests for media blackouts in the early 1980s were destroyed.

Two newspaper executives have told the Observer that their publications were issued with
D-notices – warnings not to publish intelligence that might damage national security – when they sought to report on allegations of a powerful group of men engaging in child sex abuse in 1984. One executive said he had been accosted in his office by 15 uniformed and two non-uniformed police over a dossier on Westminster paedophiles passed to him by the former Labour cabinet minister Barbara Castle.

Ah, national security. Remember that the next time you are lectured that we need to give up our civil liberties in the name of “national security.” Think about what that really means. It really means the security of the status quo to continue to behave like insane criminals with zero accountability.

“It feels like just another example of key documents from that period going missing. We need to know more about what has happened. The journalists who have said that D-notices were issued are respected people with no reason to lie.”

The two journalists, Don Hale, the former editor of the Bury Messenger, and Hilton Tims, news editor of the Surrey Comet between 1980 and 1988, both recall their publications being issued with D-notices around 1984. Tims, a veteran of the Daily Mail and BBC, where he was head of publicity for the launch of colour TV, said that his chief reporter had informed him that a D-notice had been issued to him after he tried to report on a police investigation into events at Elm Guest House, where Smith is said to have been a regular visitor.

“The reporter was told that there were a number of high-profile people involved and they were getting boys from a care home in the Richmond area. So I put someone on to it, the chief reporter I think, to make inquiries. It was the following day that we had a D-notice slapped on us; the reporter came over and told me. It was the only time in my career.”

Hale, who was awarded an OBE for his successful campaign to overturn the murder conviction of Stephen Downing, a victim of one of the longest-known miscarriages of justice, said he was issued with a D-notice when editor of the Bury Messenger.

The worst part about incidents like these, is that those closest to the situations will often blindly protect the offenders. Such as what is described in the following articles.

'Paedophilia is natural and normal for males'

How some university academics make the case for paedophiles at summer conferences

    7/5/14

"Paedophilic interest is natural and normal for human males,” said the presentation. “At least a sizeable minority of normal males would like to have sex with children … Normal males are aroused by children.”

Some yellowing tract from the Seventies or early Eighties, era of abusive celebrities and the infamous PIE, the Paedophile Information Exchange? No. Anonymous commenters on some underground website? No again.

The statement that paedophilia is “natural and normal” was made not three decades ago but last July. It was made not in private but as one of the central claims of an academic presentation delivered, at the invitation of the organisers, to many of the key experts in the field at a conference held by the University of Cambridge.

Other presentations included “Liberating the paedophile: a discursive analysis,” and “Danger and difference: the stakes of hebephilia.”

Hebephilia is the sexual preference for children in early puberty, typically 11 to 14-year-olds.

Another attendee, and enthusiastic participant from the floor, was one Tom O’Carroll, a multiple child sex offender, long-time campaigner for the legalisation of sex with children and former head of the Paedophile Information Exchange. “Wonderful!” he wrote on his blog afterwards. “It was a rare few days when I could feel relatively popular!”

Last week, after the conviction of Rolf Harris, the report into Jimmy Savile and claims of an establishment cover-up to protect a sex-offending minister in Margaret Thatcher’s Cabinet, Britain went into a convulsion of anxiety about child abuse in the Eighties. But unnoticed amid the furore is a much more current threat: attempts, right now, in parts of the academic establishment to push the boundaries on the acceptability of child sex.

A key factor in what happened all those decades ago in the dressing rooms of the BBC, the wards of the NHS and, allegedly, the corridors of power was not just institutional failings or establishment “conspiracies”, but a climate of far greater intellectual tolerance of practices that horrify today.

With the Pill, the legalisation of homosexuality and shrinking taboos against premarital sex, the Seventies was an era of quite sudden sexual emancipation. Many liberals, of course, saw through PIE’s cynical rhetoric of “child lib”. But to others on the Left, sex by or with children was just another repressive boundary to be swept away – and some of the most important backing came from academia.

In 1981, a respectable publisher, Batsford, published Perspectives on Paedophilia, edited by Brian Taylor, a sociology lecturer at Sussex University, to challenge what Dr Taylor’s introduction called the “prejudice” against child sex. Disturbingly, the book was aimed at “social workers, community workers, probation officers and child care workers”.

The public, wrote Dr Taylor, “generally thinks of paedophiles as sick or evil men who lurk around school playgrounds in the hope of attempting unspecified beastliness with unsuspecting innocent children”. That, he reassured readers, was merely a “stereotype”, both “inaccurate and unhelpful”, which flew in the face of the “empirical realities of paedophile behaviour”. Why, most adult-child sexual relationships occurred in the family!

The perspectives of most, though not all, the contributors, appeared strongly pro-paedophile. At least two were members of PIE and at least one, Peter Righton, (who was, incredibly, director of education at the National Institute for Social Work) was later convicted of child sex crimes. But from the viewpoint of today, the fascinating thing about Perspectives on Paedophilia is that at least two of its contributors are still academically active and influential.

Ken Plummer is emeritus professor of sociology at Essex University, where he has an office and teaches courses, the most recent scheduled for last month. “The isolation, secrecy, guilt and anguish of many paedophiles,” he wrote in Perspectives on Paedophilia, “are not intrinsic to the phenomen[on] but are derived from the extreme social repression placed on minorities …

Paedophiles are told they are the seducers and rapists of children; they know their experiences are often loving and tender ones. They are told that children are pure and innocent, devoid of sexuality; they know both from their own experiences of childhood and from the children they meet that this is not the case.”

As recently as 2012, Prof Plummer published on his personal blog a chapter he wrote in another book, Male Intergenerational Intimacy, in 1991. “As homosexuality has become slightly less open to sustained moral panic, the new pariah of 'child molester’ has become the latest folk devil,” he wrote. “Many adult paedophiles say that boys actively seek out sex partners … 'childhood’ itself is not a biological given but an historically produced social object.”

Prof Plummer confirmed to The Sunday Telegraph that he had been a member of PIE in order to “facilitate” his research. He said: “I would never want any of my work to be used as a rationale for doing 'bad things’ – and I regard all coercive, abusive, exploitative sexuality as a 'bad thing’. I am sorry if it has impacted anyone negatively this way, or if it has encouraged this.” However, he did not answer when asked if he still held the views he expressed in the Eighties and Nineties. A spokesman for Essex University claimed Prof Plummer’s work “did not express support for paedophilia” and cited the university’s charter which gave academic staff “freedom within the law to put forward controversial and unpopular opinions without placing themselves in jeopardy”.

Graham Powell is one of the country’s most distinguished psychologists, a past president of the British Psychological Society and a current provider of psychology support services to the Serious Organised Crime Agency, the National Crime Squad, the Metropolitan Police, Kent Police, Essex Police and the Internet Watch Foundation.

In Perspectives on Paedophilia, however, he co-authored a chapter which stated: “In the public mind, paedophile attention is generally assumed to be traumatic and to have lasting and wholly deleterious consequences for the victim. The evidence that we have considered here does not support this view … we need to ask not why are the effects of paedophile action so large, but why so small.”

The chapter does admit that there were “methodological problems” with the studies the authors relied on which “leave our conclusions somewhat muted”. Dr Powell told The Sunday Telegraph last week that “what I wrote was completely wrong and it is a matter of deep regret that it could in any way have made things more difficult [for victims]”. He said: “The literature [scientific evidence] was so poor in 1981, people just didn’t realise what was going on. There was a lack of understanding at the academic level.” Dr Powell said he had never been a member of PIE.

In other academic quarters, with rather fewer excuses, that lack of understanding appears to be reasserting itself. The Cambridge University conference, on July 4-5 last year, was about the classification of sexuality in the DSM, a standard international psychiatric manual used by the police and courts.

After a fierce battle in the American Psychiatric Association (APA), which produces it, a proposal to include hebephilia as a disorder in the new edition of the manual has been defeated. The proposal arose because puberty in children has started ever earlier in recent decades and as a result, it was argued, the current definition of paedophilia – pre-pubertal sexual attraction – missed out too many young people.

Ray Blanchard, professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto, who led the APA’s working group on the subject, said that unless some other way was found of encompassing hebephilia in the new manual, that was “tantamount to stating that the APA’s official position is that the sexual preference for early pubertal children is normal”.

Prof Blanchard was in turn criticised by a speaker at the Cambridge conference, Patrick Singy, of Union College, New York, who said hebephilia would be abused as a diagnosis to detain sex offenders as “mentally ill” under US “sexually violent predator” laws even after they had completed their sentences.

But perhaps the most controversial presentation of all was by Philip Tromovitch, a professor at Doshisha University in Japan, who stated in a presentation on the “prevalence of paedophilia” that the “majority of men are probably paedophiles and hebephiles” and that “paedophilic interest is normal and natural in human males”.

O’Carroll, the former PIE leader, was thrilled, and described on his blog how he joined Prof Tromovitch and a colleague for drinks after the conference. “The conversation flowed most agreeably, along with the drinks and the beautiful River Cam,” he said.

It’s fair to say the Tromovitch view does not represent majority academic opinion. It’s likely, too, that some of the academic protests against the “stigmatisation” of paedophiles are as much a backlash against the harshness of sex offender laws as anything else. Finally, of course, academic inquiry is supposed to question conventional wisdom and to deal rigorously with the evidence, whether or not the conclusions it leads you to are popular.

Even so, there really is now no shortage of evidence about the harm done by child abuse. In the latest frenzy about the crimes of the past, it’s worth watching whether we could, in the future, go back to the intellectual climate which allowed them.

    Comments:

Yes, it's very natural and normal... for these Anglo Christian Europeans. Pedophilia and sexual crimes are trademark of white mans' crime. And these so called academic professors are pro-pedphiles and are being rooted and cheered on by the Pedophile ring leaders that showed up to support them and went drinking with them afterwards. They all are following the footsteps of homosexuals in legalizing Pedophila.

German incest couple lose rights ruling

    12 April 2012

A brother and sister who had an incestous relationship did not have their privacy violated by a German court the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has said.

Patrick Stuebing from Leipzig had argued that he and his sister had the right to a family life, but the ECHR today ruled that Germany was entitled to ban incest.

The European court, based in eastern Strasbourg, said German courts didn't violate the rights of Stuebing, who was sentenced to 14 months in prison in 2005. He is now free.

Stuebing and Susan Karolewski, have had four children together. Two of the children are described as disabled.
The case had led to calls for Germany to change the laws on consensual sexual relations between adult relatives in order to no longer make them illegal.

France, Turkey, Japan and Brazil have all amended their laws on relationships between adult family members.

Fast forward to 2014 and we have this....

German ethics council calls for incest between siblings to be legalised by Government

    24 September 2014

Germany’s national ethics council has called for an end to the criminalisation of incest between siblings after examining the case of a man who had four children with his sister.

Patrick Stuebing, who was adopted as an infant and met his sister in his 20s, has launched several appeals since being imprisoned for incest in 2008 and his lengthy legal battle has prompted widespread public debate.

Sexual relations between siblings or between parents and their children are forbidden under section 173 of the German criminal code and offenders can face years in prison.

But on Wednesday, the German Ethics Council recommended the section be repealed, arguing that the risk of disability in children is not enough to warrant the law and de-criminalising incest would not remove the huge social taboo around it.

The chairman of the council, Christiane Woopen, was among the 14 members voting in favour of repealing section 173, while nine people voted for the ban to continue and two abstained.

A statement released on Wednesday said: “Incest between siblings appears to be very rare in Western societies according to the available data but those affected describe how difficult their situation is in light of the threat of punishment.

“They feel their fundamental freedoms have been violated and are forced into secrecy or to deny their love.

“The Ethics Council has been told of cases where half-siblings did not grow up together and have only met in their adult lives.”

Such was the case with Mr Stuebing, who was adopted at a young age and traced his birth family in his early 20s.

He and his sister Susan Karolewski, who were not brought up together, met for the first time when they were aged 24 and 16 respectively.

He was convicted of incest in 2008 and spent three years in prison, failing an appeal to the Federal Constitutional Court in 2008 and to the European Court of Human Rights over his rights to a family life in 2012.

Ms Karolewski was allowed to keep custody of their youngest child but the other three were taken into care. Two are disabled, although it is not known whether incest is the cause.

In a statement outlining its recommendations, the Ethics Council said the law against incest “put couples in a tragic situation”.

“The majority of the German Ethics Council is of the opinion that it is not appropriate for a criminal law to preserve a social taboo,” it added.

“In the case of consensual incest among adult siblings, neither the fear of negative consequences for the family , nor the possibility of the birth of children from such incestuous relationships can justify a criminal prohibition.

“The fundamental right of adult siblings to sexual self-determination has more weight in such cases than the abstract protection of the family.

Members objecting to decriminalising incest argued that it would weaken “ethically significant” family values that contribute towards personal development.

A spokeswoman for Angela Merkel's CDU party, Elisabeth Winkelmeier-Becker, responded to the Ethics Council's vote saying that the abolition of the law against incest would give out the wrong signal.

“Abolishing criminal punishment against incestuous actions within a family would go completely against protecting the undisturbed development of children,” she told Deutsche Welle.

The Ethics Council’s recommendation only covered incest between siblings and members did not recommend decriminalising sex between parents and children.

Bestiality brothels are 'spreading through Germany' warns campaigner as abusers turn to sex with animals as 'lifestyle choice'

    • Animal welfare officer Madeleine Martin problem of 'erotic zoos' is growing
    • She tells of farmer whose once friendly sheep began refusing human contact
    • So when he put CCTV in his barn he watched men file in and abuse his herd

Bestiality brothels are spreading through Germany faster than ever thanks to a law that makes animal porn illegal but sex with animals legal, a livestock protection officer has warned.

Madeleine Martin told the Frankfurter Rundschau that current laws were not protecting animals from predatory zoophiles who are increasingly able to turn to bestiality as a 'lifestyle choice'.

She highlighted one case where a farmer in the Gross-Gerau region of southwest Germany, noticed his once friendly flock of sheep were beginning to shy away from human contact.

So he rigged a CCTV camera in the rafters of his barn to discover multiple men sneaking in during the night to sexually abuse his beloved livestock.

'There are now animal brothels in Germany,' Martin told the paper, adding that people were playing down the issue by by describing it as a 'lifestyle choice'.

There are even 'erotic zoos' which people can visit to abuse animals ranging from llamas to goats.

Hans-Michael Goldmann, chairman of the agriculture committee, said the government aimed to forbid using an animal 'for individual sexual acts and to outlaw people 'pimping' creatures to others for sexual use.'

German 'zoophile' group ZETA has announced it will mount a legal challenge should a ban on bestiality become law.

'Mere concepts of morality have no business being law,' said ZETA chairman Michael Kiok.

When the 1969 law banning sex with animals was banned the Animal Protection Law was introduced, but it failed to include a specific ban on zoophilia.

The terms bestiality and zoophilia are the formal names for having sex with animals for pleasure.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...#ixzz43TQ2Np4G

These sick people have their own groups and lobbyists and have banded together to expand their perversion. They are making immorality legal and yet state that "mere concepts of morality" has no place in the legal system? Does their immorality and concept of "right" have a place?
