    (November 14, 2012)

    Assalaamu Alaikum (Greetings of Peace):
The most RHETORICALLY SANCTIONED rogue nation in United Nations history is at it again! Zionist-Israel has attacked a (comparatively speaking) defenseless people again; and peace-loving people around the world are reacting again for the umpteenth time!

We begin this release with a special report out of Egypt (it's going to be interesting to see where this goes). There is also a special report on a historical development in the divestment campaign at UC-Irvine in California.

Please share this list of protest demonstrations with others within your respective networks. Thank you!

BREAKING: Egypt's president Morsi recalls ambassador from Israel
Mohamed Morsi recalls the newly appointed ambassador to Tel Aviv hours after Israel escalated assaults on Gaza Strip killing commander of Hamas military wing
    Wednesday 14 Nov 2012

The Egyptian State TV announced shortly after 9pm that President Mohamed Morsi has recalled the Egyptian ambassaor to Israel, Atef Mohamed Salem.

In a televised statement, presidential spokesperson Yasser Ali said that Morsi has also summoned the Israeli ambassador in Cairo to convey Egypt's rejection of continued Israeli attacks on gaza.

"The president has ordered the Egyptian representative at the United Nations to call for an emergency meeting at the Security Council. In a phone call with the Arab League general-secretary, the president has also called for an emergency meeting for the Arab foreign ministers," Ali said.

Earlier Wednesday, Israel killed seven Palestinians in air raid on the besieged Strip including a leading commander Hamas's military wing, Ahmed Al-Jaabari.

Al-Awda The Palestine Right to Return Coalition calls on its members and all supporting organizations and individuals to organize demonstrations in front of Israeli Embassies and Consulates, Federal and other locations to demand an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression and siege of the Gaza Strip. On November 9, 2012 Israel's army killed a teenage child playing soccer in Gaza and then launched an unprovoked bombardment of the Gaza strip which killed seven Palestinians and injured more than 40, and to which the resistance responded. Subsequent Israeli attacks led to more deaths and injuries and culminated today in the assassination of Ahmed Jabri, second in command of Military Wing of Hamas and nine other people throughout Gaza. Further, Israel formally announced that it has launched a ground invasion of the Gaza strip, saying they'll be in Tal Alhawa within 24 hours. This is an area in the middle of densely populated Gaza City.
We call on all people of conscience to organize emergency demonstrations and demand Israel immediately stop its attacks on Gaza. We also demand that the Israeli and Egyptian governments immediately END THE SIEGE OF THE GAZA STRIP and grant immediate access to all food, humanitarian and medical relief supplies without restriction. The strip is home to 1.5 million Palestinians, 80% of whom are refugees denied by the Zionist state the right to return to their homes and lands of origin from which they were expelled by the Zionist occupation in 1948 and thereafter. Nearly half of the Gaza population are children who along with the elderly and ill remain completely deprived of food, water, fuel, electricity, humanitarian relief and medical supplies or facilities. For demonstration in Los Angeles Please join us Thursday November 15 @ 4 PM in front of the "Israeli" consulate, 11766 WILSHIRE BLVD, Los Angeles, CA 90025. UC Irvine students pass historic legislation urging divestment from human rights abuses in Palestine

(IRVINE, CALIF., 11/13/2012) – In an historic move that could initiate a domino effect across America’s campuses, the Associated Students of UC Irvine voted unanimously to divest from companies that profit from Israel’s occupation of Palestine, including from companies that contribute to illegal settlement construction in the occupied Palestinian territories.

With 16 votes in favor, 0 abstentions, and 0 opposed, the elected undergraduate student representatives of the University of California Irvine unanimously passed a resolution urging the University to withdraw its investment funds from Caterpillar, General Electric Company, Hewlett Packard, Raytheon, and other companies profiting from human rights violations in the occupied territories. The students also pledged to further examine UC assets for investments in companies that profit from human rights abuses anywhere in the world.

The resolution was drafted in response to the 2005 Palestinian civil society call for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel as a means to force it to comply with international law and end its occupation of the West Bank and Gaza; allow Palestinian refugees their internationally guaranteed right to return to their homes and villages; and grant equal rights to Palestinian citizens of Israel. Other divestment successes have occurred at Hampshire College and Evergreen State College, as well as the WeDivest campaign which focuses on pension fund giant TIAA CREF and has resulted in, among other things, the removal of Caterpillar from its Social Choice Funds.

Sabreen Shalabi, the student representative on the legislative council for the school of social science and co-author of the legislation said, “I am very proud of my fellow council members and of the students at our University. Our work today stands tall in the noble tradition of students advocating for justice, joining the ranks of those brave and visionary students who demanded that our Universities divest from the terrible crimes of South African apartheid.”

Traci Ishigo, President of the Associated Student of UCI and a member of the UC Irvine Foundation, said “The decision made by ASUCI’s legislative Council tonight clearly shows the strength and integrity of students utilizing their collective power to protect human rights on a global scale and I stand firmly by the students who believe it is their responsibility to have a voice on matters that urge the UC to be an institution that treasures human dignity.”

AMP Condemns Israeli Assault on Gaza
Call your representative to demand an immediate halt of aggression on Gaza.
(PALOS HILLS, IL 11/14/2012) – AMP condemns the recent attacks on Gaza which claims, so far, at least 7 deaths including an eleven-month-old infant a six-year-old child in addition to dozens of injuries including many children. AMP calls for an immediate halt of the attacks.
AMP believes that the occupation leaders are using Palestinian blood for election purposes. Each time the political climate in Israel reaches a dead end Israeli officials attack Palestinians for political gain in hopes of swaying the Israeli voter.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was unhappy with the outcome of the election in the US as he clearly and openly supported Governor Mitt Romney in the last election. As such, this recent assault attempts to cause disturbances for the Obama administration after the recent elections.
“All of these actions prove Israel does not want peace, and furthermore, is intent on causing instability, especially after the region underwent various uprisings that have resulted in democratically elected governments.” Said Dr. Hatem Bazian, AMP Chairman. “These attacks are an attempt to corner the newly appointed governments and test their position toward the struggle in the Middle East.
Israel is not, nor has ever been interested in achieving peace with the Palestinians. Rather, the Zionist apartheid state is intent on waging war in efforts to continue its policy of the ethnic cleansing and the transfer of the Palestinian people out of their homes.
AMP firmly believes withholding more than $3 billion in the U.S. foreign aid is the only way to force Israel into compliance with international humanitarian and civil laws.

Be firm, but polite, call your representative and the State Dept. demand that our government:

    • Pressure Israel to put an immediate halt on the aggression on Gaza
    • Withhold US aid to Israel

Aerial assaults have been unleashed on Palestine.

Since Wednesday, Nov. 14, more than 30 Palestinians—including at least two children and one pregnant woman—have been killed, according to news reports. Hundreds more have been hurt.

As the airstrikes continue over densely-populated regions, thousands of people are at risk of injury or worse.

Donate now to help deliver emergency aid to our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

Islamic Relief is working to provide vital supplies to help Palestinians who are in dire need.

But we need your help to do so.

    So, please give today.

Your contribution will let children, mothers, fathers, grandparents who are living in fear—not knowing if they are safe even when in their own homes—know that they have your support ...

... Just like Islamic Relief donors have done by supporting efforts in Palestine since 1994. Watch this video to learn how your contributions have been helping.

Please donate today to help Palestinians in need
    during these extraordinarily difficult times.
And, give as much as you can. Every donation counts!

    Default Help Burma Refugees

    Assalaamu Alaykum WaRahmatullahi WaBarakatahu,

Burma’s history has been marked by one of the longest running civil wars between ethnic groups. More importantly, 800,000 Rohingya Muslims have been persecuted, discriminated and faced massacres for the past 70 years now.

The United Nations has said that these Muslims are, “the most persecuted minorities in the world.

With the violence escalating HHRD is providing emergency relief to these victims.

HHRD Representative Br. Arif Khalil shared that locally purchased items were transported to distribution destinations in the suburbs of Sittwe, the capital city of Rakhine (Arakan) State. Alhamdulillah food items which were purchased from Rangon, but were kept in Godown due to unrest in the city, are now being repacked and ready for distribution.

The BBC reports that curfews have been imposed in three more towns as the attacks on Muslims spread closer to Rangoon. Our brothers and sisters in Burma need our help; families and children are living in continuous fear. Open your hearts and answer this call. For further information on HHRD’s "Burma Relief Fund" visit www.hhrd.org

    Assalaamu Alaykum WaRahmatullahi WaBarakatahu,

The situation in Gaza has turned from bad to worse; with daily bombings and restricted access to supplies our Palestinian brothers and sisters are truly facing a humanitarian crisis. Limited access to emergency relief such as medical supplies, shelter and food is a cause for alarm. This latest offensive has killed 88 Gazans, 14 of whom are children, and injuring 339. In the last three days alone 442 rockets have been fired into the region. The United Nation has called for an immediate cease-fire and peace talks.

HHRD is a registered NGO in Jordon; our representatives in the region are currently assembling to provide necessary emergence relief once the situation on the ground becomes safer. More recently, HHRD has provided more than 2,000 malnourished children with meals during their after school program. With the support of our donors HHRD is sponsoring 100 Palestinian orphans through our Orphan Support Program. Presently, we have distributed Ramadan Food packages to 200 Palestinian families in Jordan and 72 Palestinian families in Lebanon

We urge our donors to keep the people of Palestine in your prayers; children, elderly, brothers and sisters are facing the possibility of death on a daily basis. In this blessed month of Ramadan we implore you to open your hearts and hands to donate generously towards providing aid to these individuals. We leave you with the words of a child from Gaza who says, "The rockets may be above us but they have forgotten that Allah is above them."

For updates on our work in the region or to donate visit www.hhrd.org

    Wasalaam Walaykum WaRahmatullahi WaBarakatahu.

    Some of the facts:
—At least 96 people—many of them children—have been killed
—Some 600 people have been injured
—There has been a significant change in security throughout the region within the past 48 hours, putting entire communities in danger.
—Entire families have been forced to flee their houses to seek refuge in school compounds and other large buildings because they don't feel safe at home.

We cannot imagine what our Palestinian brothers and sisters are going through, and we pray that Allah (swt) protects them and that the violence ends quickly.

Muslims Needed To Foster Syrian Muslim Orphans

    as-salaam 'alaykum,

A humble request to all Muslims

The UK government have agreed to take Syrian Muslim orphans in the next 5-10 years, 6000 non-Muslims have registered to take these children but only a few Muslims have registered.

More Muslims are needed for fostering the children to avoid these children going to non-Muslim families or even homosexual partners as they also have the right to foster/adopt children. It is a grave situation and it is our duty to protect these Muslim children.

The process can take up to 6 months. The UK government will fund ALL costs. Whoever has the time, room or have no children or might know anyone who would be interested are desperately urged to register.

The following independent Muslim fostering agencies do registrations:

Foster Care Link - Specialist Fostering Service
    contact: Hajj-Harun Alibhai

    Sunbeam Fostering agency
    contact: Faraz Ahmad
    mobile: 07432 607 539
    email: faraza@sunbeamfostering.com

With regard to the virtue of sponsoring orphans and the great reward for that, Muslim (2983) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said:

"The one who sponsors an orphan, whether it is a relative of his or not, he and I will be like these two in Paradise", and Maalik pointed with his forefinger and middle finger.

This is not just about getting reward for it in Jannah, but it is about ALL MUSLIMS being held accountable for what happens to these children. That's right, it is an obligation on ALL of the Muslims in UK to take these Muslim orphans in to protect them and their religion. Failure to do so would result in abandoning them and thus sinning and so liable for punishment.

All the expenses are paid for by the government, so there is no excuse for anyone to not do it.

This is one of the dangers they are facing:

Muslim Woman Suing Estate After Told Black Hijab Made Her Look Like a Terrorist

This sister was dismissed from work for wearing a black coloured Hijab to work - she was informed that the colour black represented terrorism. She doesn't have the funds to pursue her legal claim, please support her by making a contribution

In January 2017, I resigned from my employment due to a fundamental breach of my contract relating to discrimination and the affiliation of my black hijab (headscarf) with terrorism. I was informed that I could not wear a black hijab to work. This requirement was not imposed on workers with other religious beliefs or to members of the opposite gender. Accordingly, I have commenced legal proceedings against my former employers for religious and sex discrimination. They are are seeking to evade liability for the claim by appearing as though they are no longer trading, however they have now been taken over by another company and the new company remains liable for my claim.

I do not have sufficient the funds to fight this case and I humbly request support from anyone who can help me with my legal fees which are likely to amount to approximately £15,000. This will cover the costs for my solicitors to gather evidence, including work involved in the preparation of the bundle for the hearing and witness statements ,and preparing a schedule of loss. It will also cover costs for a barrister to represent me at a preliminary hearing where the issues in the case will be determined, as well as representing me at the substantive hearing (trial).

I am not somebody who usually calls out for help for myself but on this occasion, I sincerely ask for your duas (prayers) first and foremost, and then any financial assistance you can give towards my cause in helping me seek justice for myself, and on behalf of Muslim women to have the right to wear their hijab without being discriminated against. Any unused funds will be given to organisations fighting Islamophobia.

We cannot allow any kind of discrimination to force us into situations that consequently end up affecting our livelihoods.
Thank you for your generosity and support.

Burma Refugee Relief: 'A Silent Genocide'

A silent genocide and where the UN calls the treatment of Rohingyas 'textbook ethnic cleansing.' The country of Myanmar (Burma) is located in Southeast Asia and has been marked by one of the longest running civil wars between ethnic groups. More importantly, 1.1 million Rohingya Muslims living in the Burmese State of Rakhine have faced apartheid like conditions since 1942.

Most Rohingya are Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and are living in make shift homes throughout Saytmaji Camp in Sittwe, Burma. HHRD has helped IDP's outside the danger zone of the Rakhine State with food distributions and other Emergency Relief items.
