    Taqabbal Allaahu minnaa wa minkum!!!
(May Allaah accept from us and from you)

Wishing you a very Happy Eid Mubarak!

Eid ul-Adha - (Eid of Sacrifice)

The reason for this Eid leads back to Ibrahim’s (PBUH) story,
But we must remember that only Allah deserves all glory
We celebrate Eid-ul-Adha and the Hajj,
In which the rewards are much

Eid-ul-Adha is a reminder of Ibrahim’s (PBUH) sacrifice,
Which shows us in how many ways Allah is nice

We run between the mountains of Safa and Marwa,
Since it was done by Bibi Hajira

    Hajj is about equality,
    Forget your own individuality

Doing the rituals in a few days,
For cleaning your slate, this is one of the ways

As we celebrate this blessed day let us not forget the suffering of our oppressed brothers and sisters in Afghanistan, Palestine, Kashmir, Bosnia, Chechnya, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, and the other nations in our duas. Make tons of duas for them please, and visit the following link to learn more on their conditions: http://www.freewebs.com/dawaah/news.htm

Don't forget to turn your clock back one hour tonight or you could miss the Eid Prayer.

Daylight Savings Time Ends: Time to Fall Back

    Nov. 5, 2011

It's time to "fall back" again this weekend and to set your clocks back one hour when you go to bed tonight. Daylight saving time ends for most of the country, as standard time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

The seven-month period of daylight saving time is mandated by governments, which began implementing the time switch during World Wars I and II to save energy and resources for the war effort. From World War II until recently, daylight saving in the U.S. ran from April until mid-October. In 2007, Congress adjusted daylight saving time to begin three weeks earlier and end one week later -- a move they hoped would help save energy.

    Eid Announcement

Saudi Arabia has announced that Wednesday August 23, 2017 is the first day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah.

Accordingly, the day of Arafat, the peak and main pillar of the Hajj will be on Thursday August 31, 2017 the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah 1438.

Eid Al Adha will be on Friday, September 1, 2017.

Whoever attends the Eid prayer has a concession allowing him not to attend Jumu‘ah prayer, so he may pray it as Zuhr at the time of Zuhr. But if he decides to pray Jumu‘ah with the people, that is preferable.

Whoever has not attended the Eid prayer is not included in that concession, therefore the obligation to attend Jumu‘ah is not waived in his case. Therefore he must go to the mosque in order to pray Jumu‘ah. If there are insufficient numbers to perform Jumu‘ah prayer, then he should pray it as Zuhr.
